She wrote the song in 10 minutes and yes it was creative because that has never been done before. Its pathetic how you try to go against me in everything I say. Whatever because whatever you say is shit to me.
Everything in pop music is already done before. And i dont believe she wrote it herself. This kind of pop artists do what producers tell her to do. Just like all the Britneys in this world. Its not about music, but all about making hypes, making money, so little children will buy it. Stephany why dont you buy a book about the history of pop music and read it 1000 times.
Damn you picked the wrong one sweety,
First of all, shut the hell up already like seriously. Just because your smart at some things doesn't mean you are smart with everything. READ CAREFULLY. Everything in music (in general) has been said before. But what she did, brought something new to the table. No one has ever used the word "Lycanthropy" in pop music "EVER", no one has ever used the word "She-Wolf" in pop music "EVER". The song's lyrics in English sound quite terrible because it was written in Spanish first and that's what Shakira is more comfortable with (like me). But the Spanish version which
she did wrote it in 10 minutes has more swagger and sounds better. The lyrics are more lengthy and broad. More witted and smart. And many of those good words couldn't be translated because they wouldn't rhyme. The person who wrote it with her in English still did a good job to give somewhat of the same message in English.
Shakira is a dictator in her music, if its not her way it is "no way". So you obviously don't know shit about Shakira. She writes and produces her own music and has a vision for everything she does. And of coarse she is going to get help from time to time, nobody is perfect and sometimes you need help. There are many songs that she has written herself that didn't go mainstream and because she didn't use help, because the lyrics are too weird but they are wonderful.
And let me tell you something, music is big business because you represent the label you come from and that's how they make their money. The whole cage thing has been done before but it hasn't been done like she has done it.
Notice when the horn blows, she takes the sound and applies it to her dance in the cage. She doesn't just produce music, she produces dance with it and that's why I like her music. (take a look at the dark read at the bottom when you finish reading) Britney Spears is my favorite and I am fan of her but I appreciate Shakira's music much more than I do for Britney's. Shakira is a veteran of pop music and has brought many things to it.
Look at some of the lyrics in the spanish version translated in English (completely different)
Passing Stealthy
Passing Stealthy
That She Wolf is special
Look at it walk, walk
Who doesn't want lycanthropical goddess
In the heat of a romantic evening
My desires are called
I want a tame wolf
I finally found a cure that clears all that is to blame
I will not stay by your side watching TV and listening to you apologize
life has given me a ravenous appetite and you just give me caramels(candy)
I'll leave with my legs and my youth even though your killed jealousy
There's a She-wolf in the closet
She has desire to leave
Let her eat the neighborhood (Its a Spanish say) in other words, let her have fun)
Before she goes to sleep
I have magnetic stilettos that walk on water (it makes more sense in Spanish)
To leave the frenzied herd
The moon is full of good, like a fruit (All the good things in fruit are stored inside, once again it makes more sense in spanish)
It gives us advice and it listens
Take a look
Notice how in 0:10-0:13 she takes sound and applies it to her dance. I knew she was gonna do that for some reason its almost like she hinted it with the sound of the horn. Now that's what I call a good dance song.
