Kai was leisurely swimming on top of the surface when Honor dived under, and he didn't even see her do it. He closed his eyes and rolled onto his back, savouring the sun on his skin as he did. It felt warmer than he was used to. It was nice. "I tell you, this is the life, Wynter, you've got it good, love," he says with his eyes closed. When she doesn't answer after a few seconds, Kai opens one eye and looks for her. "Wynter?" he says, standing up in the water when no reply comes. He looks around before he suddenly sees her below the water, just floating there, not moving. Panic fills his entire body when he sees her like that, and he had to fight to banish the worst fears from his mind. "Honor!" he calls out, quickly swimming to her as fast as he could. He was almost in tears as he dives below the surface, desperate to reach her. Kai grabs her by the arm. "Please don't be dead," he thinks as he drags her back to the surface, pushing the hair out of her face as soon as they break the surface. "HONOR!" he yells, trying to shake her to make sure she was ok.

When she speaks, Kai breathes a massive sigh of relief over what had just happened. "What the fuck were you doing?" he asks her with tears in his eyes. He holds her hands gently for a moment as he stares at her, before she breaks the contact and goes back towards the house. Kai wasn't going to let her be alone, though. Not now. He pulls himself out of the pool and grabs a towel from the side, going after Honor. He makes his way towards her room as he wraps the towel around his waist. He opens the door and looks at her. "Honor....talk to me," he says softly, walking inside and putting his hand on her shoulder. "You can tell me anything," he tells her.

Kai sighs at Honor and shakes his head. He wasn't disappointed in her or anything - he was just scared of what she would do to herself. He walks across the room and wraps his arms around her. "It's ok, babe," he whispers softly to her. "I'm here for you. I know you're not crazy." He starts to gently rub her back. Kai cared so much about her. "I'm not gonna let anything bad happen to you. I swear on my own life."

Kai holds Honor close when she hugs tightly against him. Most people would probably think that because they were having an affair that it was use about sex, but Kai cared about Honor more than he could ever even truly show. When she starts to talk about dying, and when he can hear the tears in her voice, Kai can't hold back anymore and he starts to quietly cry as well. He loved her with all his heart, and the thought of her ever going away was something he couldn't even bare to think about at all. But at the same time, Kai knew what she meant. He had once accidentally injected too much heroin and almost drifted off, and it was the most calm he had ever felt. It was something he never told anyone. Kai tries to keep it together for her. He never cried in front of anyone, but as he tried to speak, he could hear it in his own voice. "People...people say shit like this all the time..." he quivers, "but if you died Honor...I don't know what I'd ever do, and I mean that. You're the most beautiful and amazing person I've ever known and you should know how much you light up people's lives. We would all hurt more than we could even imagine if you weren't here anymore. I don't ever want to lose you," he says quietly, trying to stay strong for her. Kai kisses the top of her head and holds her tighter, like he was afraid to let Honor go. "You mean everything to me. Tell me what you need me to do and I'll do it. Anything. I promise. I won't ever let you hurt yourself, babe. You're too special for that. Whenever you need me, I'm here. Please promise me you'll remember that."

"What's hurting you?" Kai asks quietly. He stares into her eyes intently, desperately wanting to know everything that was going on with her. She looked so sad and like she was crying out for help, and Kai was the person that would help her in any way he could. He just wanted her to be that happy bright shining light that she had been since she came into his life again. He nods. "I won't let you go. Not ever, Honor. I promise that no matter what ever happens, I will always be there for you," he says, kissing her cheek softly. It hurt him that she was hurt, and Kai would take all her pain himself if it meant Honor couldn't feel sad anymore. "I want you to come to me, though, Honor. You should know that I can try my best to help you no matter what it is. You don't have to deal with stuff on your own when you have people who care about you." Kai smiles at her a little, trying to show her that he meant absolutely everything he was telling her. When she wipes his tears, Kai shakes his head. "Don't worry about me, right now. It's my job to worry about you," he whispers, resting his forehead against hers.

Kai sighs when she says everything is getting to her. He nods a little and kisses her head again. "Come on. Let's lay down." he remembered how Honor loved to cuddle with him, and all he wanted was for her to feel a little more relaxed. Kai walks her to the bed and then lays down on it, holding his arms out for her. All he wanted was to hold her close and reassure her that everything would be ok. "Come on. Come tell me everything you're feeling. You know I would never judge you or anything, babe. I just want you to be ok again." He smiles a little. "Then we'll stay like this until you feel better. I'm not going anywhere while my girl is feeling upset or sad. No way would i leave you alone like that," he says softly. As they lay there silently just staring at each other, Kai nonchalantly plays with Honor's hair. He hoped that being there for her helped, because Kai loved Honor more than anything, and he would be devastated if he couldn't help her in any way.

Kai cuddles Honor close to him, holding her like he was scared if he let go for even a moment that something terrible would happen. He never hid his emotions from Honor though. She saw the true Kai that very few got to see, even if it did mean showing that he could be vulnerable and scared at times. "Hey the last thing I Want you to worry about is making me worry. I only worry because I love you. And I dare say your dad is the same. I'm just glad I could be here for you now, love. Don't be afraid to let stuff out. You'll always have me to listen and help you. I swear." He stares into her eyes again, almost to show her just how much he meant what he was saying to her. He keeps twirling her hair when she smiles at him. "Have you been sleeping well? Get a rest if you want. I promise I'll stay here and hold you while you sleep. I won't go anywhere," he smiles.

"Good," Kai says, smiling at the kiss on his cheek. "Dont talk about dying," he says softly, before shaking his head. "I'm fine. I've got this towel anyway, it's kinda nice and breezy in all this hot weather," he smiles at her. For a few seconds, he lays there in the silence, trying not to think about what might have happened if he hadn't seen her at the bottom of the pool in time. When she says she loves him, Kai smiles again. "I love you too, Honor. More than I could ever tell you," he says with a little kiss.

Kai gives Honor a long lingering kiss. It wasn't the sort that has any sort of sexual overtones, but instead one that just said "I'll never leave you." he holds her close as they kiss before letting her get a little more space when she breaks the kiss. "Ok babe. You rest. I'll be here when you wake up," Kai says, kissing her forehead. He could see she was tired and he just wanted her to rest and feel better. All he wanted was for Honor to be strong again, and he'd be by her side all the way, he promised himself that.

Kai smiles a little when Honor wakes up. The whole time she had slept, he had been awake, making sure that he was there for her when she did wake up. When she sits up, Kai moves his arms to give her more space. He stretches a little and sits up beside her. "You feeling any better, love?" he asks her, before giving her a soft kiss. She definitely looked a little less tired, and Kai was glad to see her not looking quite as stressed.
