Veronica giggled. "Sounds like a plan." They were that couple that needed a push every now and then but they'd get to where they needed to be. She wasn't used to such a bond with a guy in a relationship and she knew Rory was the same. They were both used to just hooking up and not caring but they cared so much for each other that it was almost impossible to go back to that chapter of their relationship. "Carry me!" She says, dramatically and then laughs.

"Do what?" She asks, smiling at him. She had always perceived Rory as a womanizer who would never be able to settle down with one girl but she was happy that it was her. Veronica was bratty, spoiled, and had a mean jealous streak but it was mostly just to get attention. Rory, however, always gave her attention. Even when she didn't want it, he was there and she loved that about him. She laughs when he picks her up and throws her over his shoulder. "I meant romantically but I guess I'll let this slide for tonight." She playfully hits him on his back.

"Well now you made me fall in love with you. So now I'm tougher to get rid of." Veronica says with a grin. She was never one for dependency on a guy but she felt she could trust Rory. "This might've been romantic in the cavemen period but not in the modern world." She says, laughing. "And ow." She pretends to be hurt by rubbing her bottom.

Veronica looked up at him and smiled. "You're really trying to earn points with me, aren't you? It's working so far. I do love compliments." She laughed and kissed him. "Yeah...you're super lucky to have someone as hot as me. I'm lucky to have someone as hot as you too. We're a perfect hot couple."

"Trust me, your woman already knows how amazing ahe is." Veronica winks at him and then lets him take off her top as she smiles. She was one of few people confident in her looks so she could be naked in front of anyone and not care. "This is true. What a lucky man you are indeed." She laughed and gave him another kiss.

Kai yawns and scratches his head as he walks out onto the balcony and lights a cigarette. He had been up for most of the night, tending to Kai and Honor's daughter Harper. She slept through most nights now that she was six months old, so Kai wasn't used to being awake all night. But last night she had been waking up all the time, and Kai thought maybe she was sick since she had been crying all night. He spent the whole night sitting up with her, rocking her gently so she would go back off to sleep for at least a little while. He didn't want her to disturb Honor since she had been busy lately. When he had first got with Honor five years ago, he never would have imagined that she and him would be in a position like this, with a baby. He never wanted to have kids at any point in his life if truth be told. Yet here he was, 29 years old and a father to a beautiful baby girl. When Kai first heard Honor was pregnant, he nearly lost it. They had both agreed it wasn't something they wanted, and he thought they had been safe, so it was the biggest stock of his life to hear that Honor was pregnant. Now, though, in the 6 months since she had been born, Kai was different. He was still scared and didn't have a clue what he was doing in his own mind, but he loved his daughter more than anything, and he would do anything for her. As he looks out across Los Angeles in the very early morning sun, enjoying the quiet, Kai yawns and stretches before taking a long drag from his cigarette.

Kai yawns again and scratches his chest before he takes a drag from his cigarette. He was starting to wake up a little more now, but after the number of times he had woken up during the night, fatigue was really getting the better of him. He leans on the edge of the balcony before tossing the finished cigarette over the side before he feels the familiar arms wrapping around him. He smiles a little. It was amazing that in their five years together, Kai and Honor had lost none of their passion or love for each other. He loved the fact that Honor was around more since Harper had been born. It meant that they got to spend so much more time together. He reaches down and holds her hand. "Hey, love. How's it goin'?" he asks with his croaky morning voice.

Kai wasn't sure if he was a good parent or not. He kind of felt bad, even now, that when Honor had told him she was pregnant, he had gone off on a drink and drugs bender, wishing with everything he had that it wasn't true. Since she had been born it had all changed, and he adored his baby daughter now, but he still felt awful that he had wished she didn't exist when Honor fell pregnant. In terms of parenting, Kai and Honor pretty much just learned as they went along. Neither had ever really been the type to prepare, preferring to just deal with things as they happened, and luckily so far it had seen them manage alright. Harper seemed happy and healthy, so Kai guessed they were getting it right. They still made mistakes, but they were definitely learning at being parents. For Kai, his own parents had been the worst, so he was determined Harper would have a better upbringing. When Honor says Kai sounds terrible, he laughs a little and nods. "Aye...Harps has been up all night, in't she? I don't think she's very well like. Her head were all warm and that," he yawns. "She kept crying for me all night until I picked her up. It gets a but knackering all this dad shite, like." He laughs and turns towards her. "How's about you? Sleep well?"

Kai yawns and stretches as he nods. "Aye. She were like a little bit red in the face. I couldn't tell if she were ill or just having a shite. You know, like she does. But I felt her head and it was warm." He smirks when she says Harper just wanted her dad. "Yeah, she was fine when I carried her around the apartment for a bit. She seemed to be happier with me there." He leans against the balcony with his back against the rail so he could face Honor. "Yeah, it must be your turn anyway," he jokes. "You were having a right old snore when I woke up earlier this morning," he winks at her. "You were reet peaceful. I think she's been tiring you out lately, eh?" Kai smiles at her and lights another cigarette as he faces Honor. He loved moments like this in the morning between the two, when everything was peaceful and quiet and they could just relax and talk. Kai always knew that having a kid would take up a lot of a person's time, but it wasn't until Harper arrived that he realised just how much hard work it was. It meant he and Honor didn't get as much alone time as they once had, but they were adapting to that. "How come you're up so early anyhow? Did you miss me that much?" he smiles.

"I'm telling you, it looked like she were shitting. Face all red, squeezing it out. She does that a lot. I don't think she's learned what it's like to be ladylike yet." He laughs a little and smiles at Honor. He loved how much she cared about Harper. She had always been so dead set against having kids. Even more so than Kai was, so it was nice to see her adapt to it. Kai smiles and puts his hands on her hips gently. "Oh aye? Well I'm sure she's got a lot to throw your way. You know our Harper. Always keeping us on us toes," he smirks, leaning forward to kiss Honor softly. He nods when she says she misses them being alone and nods. "Well you did want a kid, love," he jokes. "I miss it too. We should definitely give her to your dad some weekend and just relax. We could go away somewhere for a few days or summat an all if you want."
