"I doubt that. If anything, I think it'll help you a ton, was a great way of getting you name out there," Jared assured her. While he hadn't watched the show, he was definitely familiar with Nova and some of the stuff she'd put out.

"Yeah, if only that were true," he laughed with her. "Lucky number three, huh? Yeah, it's funny... same language, but I feel like I'm speaking fucking French when I'm here sometimes." He watches her take her laptop out and nods his head, "Thank you, a lot of Hey Lolita's stuff was done in here actually. But nah, it's my pleasure, you seem like a really talented girl. You got some ideas and stuff on the laptop?"

Jared shook his head at her, "No, I didn't. Why? Something I should know about?" He winked at her playfully, then chuckled.

"That's one way of putting it. You won't believe the amount of times I've asked for a fag and got the most confused look back you've ever seen on a face. Awkward." He takes another drink out of his bottle of water and nods while Nova speaks. "That's cool, I can certainly try. We can run through a few ideas if you want and see what works best? Run the concept by me."

"Boring? You? You expect me to believe that? I think you're hiding something," Jared teases, before giving her a smile.

He nods his head in agreement, "Oh, don't get me wrong, that's also part of why I love being here, those barriers are funny as fuck. I miss London every now and then, but I can't complain." He looks her in the eyes as she explains her concept, "See, knew you were a wild one," he laughs. "I really like the sound of that. Victoria's your half sis, ain't she? I worked with her on an album, so I can definitely bring in that dark element you're after."

Vara sits on the balcony of her Italian apartment, over-looking the city in front of her. The apartment itself was one of the oldest buildings in the city, and it cost a fortune, but it was pocket change compared to the amount of money that Vara was used to spending in her life. She sips her tea and sighs. Everything about her and Mariko's life had been perfect up until a week ago. Of course, she had tried to let it go - which was saying a lot for the level self-control that Vara was learning to achieve. Normally, she would have let Mariko have it right there, probably on Twitter, in front of everybody watching their feeds. But instead, she let it go. For days now, she had tried not to think about it, but in quiet moments, like the one she was having now, it would come up. She didn't really have anything against Nina. Nina wasn't even a thought that crossed her mind unless she was brought up by some other source. And honestly, Vara probably wouldn't have had a problem if Mariko wanted to be friends with Nina after everything that had happened. It was calling her beautiful that Vara wouldn't stand for, and it was trying to act as Nina's protector that got to her. Vara and Mariko had both risked a lot for this relationship, and had come out with the least amount of bruises possible in the end. But she didn't see it continuing like that unless situations like this were talked about.

Vara looks up at Mariko when she comes out on the balcony with her and gives her a small smile. That was the issue with Vara being mad at Mariko - the moment Vara saw her, she completely forgot why she was mad in the first place. Especially with the wind blowing around her, making her look like a Japanese princess - if there were Japanese princesses, Vara was a little hazy on Japanese monarchy. But she had to stay focused. If she was going to get over what happened last week, she would have to talk about it with Mariko. "You look gorgeous, darling," she tells her softly, moving the other wicker balcony chair out with her foot, motioning for Mariko to sit down. "I believe we need to speak about something."

Vara hated the way that Mariko looks when she said that they needed to talk. She hated putting Mariko into any position to be hurt, especially when Vara herself was the one that would have to do the hurting. Another piece of evidence of how much more mature Vara was becoming since she started dating Mariko - before now, Vara wouldn't think twice about voicing her opinion on a situation, no matter who she hurt. But when their relationship first started, it was rather scandalous, and in an attempt to keep them out of the negative light, Vara had kept many opinions to herself. But this was one that she couldn't. Vara had to think about her own happiness as well. "We need to talk about... Nina," she says back, laying her cards on the table, not wanting to pussy-foot around the issue. She looks Mariko dead in the eye, wanting to see if Mariko had anything she needed to say about the topic before Vara began.

Vara shifts in her chair, suddenly very uncomfortable. This wasn't going to be an easy topic to approach, and there was no easy way to say the things that she was thinking. "There could have been several other ways for you to do that," she finally says back after a few moments of silence between them. "But calling her beautiful, and... 'protecting' her against Suzie's criticisms..." She sighs and looks out across the city. "I understand that there's still a layer of intimacy between you two. I would be stupid to pretend that it didn't exist. Feelings like that don't just go away, we both know that first hand. But... it makes us look foolish when you act like that towards her where other people can see it." She hesitates for a moment before looking back at Mariko, her face one of sympathy. "We have very few people believing in us right now, Mari. And the number dwindles when they see you still acting as a girlfriend towards Nina. I just can't comfortably say that I'm okay with it."

Vara takes in a deep breath, looking up. It was the only time that she ever hated being told that she was right, because she knew that she had upset Mariko in the process. "Don't be sorry. There's nothing to be sorry about. I just thought it was something that we should discuss," she says back quickly. "We went into this relationship rather quickly, and I never even considered what to do if a situation like this should ever arise. And now is as good a time as any." Vara gives Mariko a small smile, trying her best to make the situation a little lighter. When Mariko scoots closer, Vara puts her hand on top of Mariko's, lacing her fingers over the top of her hand. It made her feel much better to know that Nina's happiness was less for Nina's sake and more for Mariko's. That was something that Vara would never classify as evil - she had lived under the motto helping one's self before helping other almost her entire life. "Don't do anything you don't want to do," she says back softly, looking at their hands together. "Just... perhaps tread lightly when it comes to public interactions with Nina, for my sake? Please?"

Vara felt guilty and uncomfortable for bringing up this topic, but above all else, she felt more secure in their relationship than she had ever felt before, and that outweighed all the negative feelings that she had. She gives Mariko's hand a little squeeze back before pulling back, bringing her legs up in the wicker chair with her as she looked out over the city. The sun was starting to set, and Vara hadn't even left the house that day. She was still in her rose colored silk robe that clung to the lower half of her body, but always seemed to be falling off of her shoulders, her hair falling across her shoulders in the same careless way. She laughs a little bit when Mariko asks if that was there first argument. "If that's the way that all of our arguments go, then I think we'll have a very strong relationship, darling," she says back. Vara looks down at the tea in her hands, still grinning, and then looks up at Mariko. "Do you remember when we first met?" she asks. "God, I thought I hated you... Of course, that wasn't your fault. You were friends with Trent, and I hated the threat that you posed. Or, at least, the threat that I made up in my mind." She giggles again.

"You bet your sweet ass it does," Vara says back jokingly with a wink when Vara asks if the make-up sex happens tonight. To Vara, this was hardly an argument. They had had worse when they weren't dating. But if they could consider this their first, then it might put them in the mindset that this was the farthest any fight had to go. Vara was so used to the screaming and cursing arguments - she could easily get used to the quiet, mature conversational ones. She giggles again when Mariko brings up the way that they used to act towards each other. "Poor Trent. We put him through such hell," she says, taking a sip of her tea. "It was Japan. That's where I really started to like you. You could keep up with me, and not many women then could."
