Sam had been working on his music himself - although not so much on the grander scale that Evalyn did. When he heard the knock on his door, he had been sitting on his couch in his living room, guitar in hand, trying to finish a song that he had been writing for a couple weeks now. No game, though. The knock on the door was a welcomed break from writing, and seeing who was behind it was an even more welcomed surprise. "Hey, sweetheart," he says, seeing Evalyn. "What're you doing here?"

Sam grins a little when Evalyn kids with him about his surprised greeting. "Hey, yeah, come on in," he says, moving out of the way so Evalyn can walk inside his house. "I got to warn you, though: I didn't know you were coming... of course. The house ain't picked up or anything." He looks around the living room for a moment. There were dishes sitting on the coffee table, clothes in the corners of the room, and trash on the floor. It didn't look horrible, but it definitely didn't look good either.

Sam laughs and opens the can, hearing the fizzing sounds as he does. "Well, that's a good sign. Alright, I'll take a sip and then you take a sip. That was it'll be like a murder/suicide pact if it is poisonous now," he says with a laugh, taking a small sip of the drink. It didn't taste like it had gone bad, but Sam didn't exactly had a master chef's pallet.
