Sam was already a little buzzed anyway for the few beers that he had had before Evalyn showed up, and now he was working on another one. He would probably be drunk by the end of the hour. "So what've you been up to?"

"Come on. I'll show you your room." He takes Evalyn's hand and leads her down a hallway off the side of the living room, and to the bedroom in the back. It's obvious that the room was originally used as a study, but there's a large bed in it and a television. "It's not much, but it's something... and it'll be nice to have you around."

Since he hardly ever went into this room, it was the cleanest in the entire house. He lays down on the bed and sighs, his hands behind his head. "Man, this bed is nice. I never lay on it anymore."
