A large TV is set up in the front of the bar. It's just finished playing the premiere episode of Everything's Fine. The party gathered around the TV has now begun to dispersed, going to the fully stocked open bar or to the small dance floor, where a live jazz band is playing.


Reza and Astra stay behind, by the television, thanking people for coming and for viewing their new project. They shake many hands and match many smiles. After a few minutes of this, they both sigh and look around.

"Does somebody want to buy the directors a drink?" Astra calls out to the crowd, getting a few laughs and offers back.

Reza blushes a little, but of course, she wouldn't mind a drink at all.

OOC: Never too late! Hooray!

Reza and Astra were talking to each other in soft, quick French, but immediately drop it when they're approached by two of their stars.

"Hello!" Astra says in a happy, sing-songy voice as she wraps her arms around Ansley and then around Veronica, giving them quick hugs. "You both look stunning!"

Reza smiles brightly at the two of them, giving a little wave. "So happy that you guys could make it tonight!"

Vara had done her duty of telling the directors - who were her good friends, so it was probably a little unnecessary - that the show was a going to be a big success and all the other stereotypical things that one person in the entertainment industry says to another, and then wandered up to the bar to get her drink on. She grins when she sees Mariko and wraps her arms around her waist. "Hey, I'm usually not like this with strangers, but you look absolutely gorgeous tonight," she purrs into Mariko's ear, giggling as she does a little 'stranger in a bar' roleplay with her girlfriend.

"Well of course. It wouldn't be much of a party if we didn't come!" Ansley smirks and giggles. It was her first time being on a television show so she was definitely excited. "But thank you so much for everything, for letting us be apart of it and it's just amazing. I'm still freaking out."

Veronica smiled at the both of them. "Yeah, it's pretty crazy. I promise to shout you guys out after we win Emmy's." She winks playfully and then laughs. "So, point me to the bar please!"

the turn from little peck on the cheek to high gear makes mariko gasp. well,as much as she can gasp once vara latches on to her lip. during the months they had lived together,vara had been let into the very small group of people mariko knew wouldnt hurt her. she embraced the rough kiss with glee. "but miss gallo,will this not be be breaking character?" she giggles again. "unless you are later going to gun for Delilah?" she wasnt above getting tidbits of future storylines,she was good at keeping secrets. "vara chan,you are trying to get me drunk? well,good luck with that." she laughs,rubbing her nose meaningfully.

she pushes her hair behind her ears,an action she has become far more comfortable doing around vara. she gives her girlfriend a sly smile when no further details are divulged.it was just as well,mariko would hate to know what happened before it happened. context is everything sure,but expecting something does take the edge off. mariko cant help but eye vara's bra with money inside. she never carried cash,and the idea of a credit card in there made her cringe. "more than you ever will know." she quips back,taking the drink as soon as its sat in front of her. she slides her hello kitty compact to vara.

Vara grins, taking the compact from Mariko and sliding it in front of her on the bar. In a quick motion, she opens the compact just a little and digs her pinky nail into the contents - and then just as quickly, snorts it. She closes it back and puts it into her bra, where she was keeping all of her important things tonight. "That won't last long. I'll hold on to this," she says with a wink as she finishes off her drink in a quick gulp.

Reza smiles at Ansley and waves as Astra and Veronica walk away together. "Date? Me? No, never," she says with a laugh. Reza seemed eternally single, although it wasn't exactly something that she was against. "What about you? Did you bring your boyfriend around to your television world premiere?" She smiles brightly.

"Ah, my night has been fantastic, darling. And yours?" Astra answers back as she reach the bar and leans her elbows on it, waiting for the bartender to notice them. "Ah, certainly. It's a different kind of recognition, though. I've been acting since I was 12, so people normally just think of me as this child star that made it through the business to be able to act as an adult as well. But now, with this show, they're in some respect in their recognition. It is a very very nice change," she responds happily. Nothing could bring her down tonight. "What about you? Surely people are stopping you on the streets, right?"

"I promise I'll give it back. Or I'll score you more. Either way, you'll win tonight," Vara says back, sticking her bottom lip out at Mariko before kissing her softly. She giggles a little when Mariko says that she looked hot in her uniform. "Coldstone Creamery worker fetish. It's truly an untapped market."

Astra looks up from her conversation with Veronica to the sound of a voice asking for drinks. Ask and you shall receive, that's what she was always taught. "Over here, darling! At the bar..." she calls back, waving the new person to enter the party over. "Have whatever you want. The tab is on Reza and I tonight."

Astra smiles at Reese and turns to the bartender. "You heard the man, Charlie. A Manhattan! The way Don Draper has them!" she says to the bartender, whose name may or may not have been Charlie, but at this point, Astra didn't really care. "Aw, thank you. Just something I threw on." She down a spin around so that the full dress is seen. "I didn't see you at the viewing. Did you just pop in because you heard a party going on?" She giggles.
