Jayne stepped out of the cab,direct from the airport. She was fresh from Miami,and looked it. Her belly baring shirt wasn't the best of ideas. She was more than a little scatter brained and just assumed new York was back to sensible temperature now. " jeezus!" She squeals as the wind blows under her thin tank top. She scurries inside the warmth of the hotel,nearly tripping over a small seeing eye dog. Taking the elevator up,she studied the buttons. It helped her mind drift to the past few months of perhaps the weirdest relationship she ever was in...was it even a relationship? Who knew, but daisy invited her here and it would be nice to see her again and try to explain things in person. She straightens her shirt and tries to look like a woman not nervous and freezing to death. She quickly raps on the door and shoves her hands into her pockets.

Jayne jumps a little when the door opens.she wasn't sure if she expected a monster behind it or what,but seeing daisy surprised her. " um..hey,daisy" she awkwardly says,scooting inside. She wasn't sure if a handshake, hug,kiss in the cheek,or fist bump was proper. So she maintained a decent space cushion coming through the door. " it's so toasty in here." She says in her best small talk voice. She never was good with talking about heavy subjects.

Jayne lets her eyes dart around. Daisy not being her bubbly self really made this hard. Jayne had hoped to use that to bolster her own mood.but with daisy seeming just as uncomfortable,it brought Jayne down more. She clears her throat before croaking out, " I'm ok. You know,just chugging along." She moves her arms like those things on old train wheels and laughs weakly. " you been doing ok?" She asks daisy,finally looking at her. Well at her chin. That might be close enough to be be mistook for looking into her eyes.

The movement Jayne could see from daisy's chin intrigued her enough to finally look up. She gave a small smile at daisy's smirk. She loved daisy's face. It made even the smallest expression seem wonderfully impressive. " busy is good." She says with a nod,still debating if coming here was a good idea. There were things she wanted to say but couldn't. They would just come out a garbled mess,she just knew it. When daisy apologies,Jayne instantly grabs her hands. " no,no,no. Daisy. I am the one who just kind of. ..poof! One second I was here,then I was there. Then I was back in scotty land,then back here. Like a fart in a godamned whirlwind." She rattles off,then dropping daisy's hands. " er...sorry."

She gives a little smile at daisy.it began to be comforting that daisy was nervous too. The more Jayne thought about it,it would probably piss her off if daisy acted like nothing was wrong. It would confirm Jayne's assumption that it just meant more to her than to daisy. Jayne had touched her and wasn't rejected,so that gave her the confidence to step closer to daisy and to finally look at her. " maybe. But I could have too. Honestly,it was the longest relationship I had ever been in. I wasn't sure if that's just how they are supposed to end or what." Jayne gives a little gesture with her hands. She made enough assumptions, so referring to the relationship in the past would put no pressure on the conversation.

Jayne finally smiles and lightly smacks daisy's hand. " nobody calls daisy a bitch...or puts her in a corner!" Jayne laughs a nearly normal laugh. She could handle a miscommunication being the root of all this. She was the obvious elder of the pair,but was fairly naive to the inner workings of relationships. She takes another step closer to daisy. " right. Neither of us were to blame. So I guess I can take the brick out of my pocket,you aren't going to come at Me." She smiles softly and reaches for daisy's hand. " sooo...where does that leave us? You haven't replaced me just yet,have you?" Jayne rocks on her heels as she asks.it was bolder than she usually was,but she had to know.

Jayne doubles over laughing at the corner proof daisy. " I thought I saw some corners in Glasgow that looked like someone bursted out of them. " The idea of the tiny daisy exploding out of a stone building was just too much not to laugh at. This was more like it. Daisy could probably make just about anyone smile. " you are not a bitch ever. Say it again,and I'll full nelson your ass." Jayne threatens.even if she was serious,it still wouldn't be that threatening. Jayne gladly takes daisy's hand and finally stands close enough to daisy that their feet touch. When Jayne hears daisy,she feels like she was just punched in The ass. Of all places.she expected stomach,but no. It was definitely ass. " oh!" She says in surprise while still holding daisy's hands. She looks around the room and focuses on a light switch. It would be a good anchor for her gaze. " who?" She asks softly. She knew she had no real right to be angry. Which she wasn't,really. Jealous however? That fit the bill. " you know...never mind. I probably don't want to know. We were separated,nothing was ever official. It doesn't matter" she follows up.

Jayne retains her grip on daisy's hand,it had loosened some. Not out of emotion,but out of fear daisy would feel her sweaty palms. It felt odd standing here with daisy,in this room to themselves, and knowing she had been with someone else. Jayne naturally pictured the most glorious and over the top sex that anyone ever could have. She nods over to the bed and pulls daisy with her. She needed to sit down. " ...no. daisy." She says with a smile. In spite of the conversation,daisy's accent made her full name sound nice. " our status wasn't exactly clear,was it?" I have no right to be mad." Jayne says logically,but still picturing wild monkey sex. " did it mean anything?....is it still going on?" Jayne whispers,letting go of daisy's hand. If it was still going on,jayne didn't want to overstep bounds.
