Robert had been staying in the bay area for a few days with some of is friends. He had been talking with Mia for some weeks online and texting, but had yet to meet her in person. Sitting in an uber on the way to the Nob Hill area of San Francisco he sent her a text: "almost there :)"
The car slid to a stop. "Thanks man" said Robert and he stepped out. He is wearing light blue jeans a black t-shirt and a light jacket. The car stopped by a small park with a few cafes and shops around. The people around is a classic diverse San Francisco mix of the super rich, the homeless, and everyone in between, but Robert doesn't see any sign of Mia, so he sits down on a bench and checks his phone just waiting. |

Since Mia and her sister Jade had been busy working on their late but almost finalized album, they hadn't had much time for anything else, but since they didn't want to burn themselves into the ground, they decided to take a small break. Jade was spending time at home with her boyfriend and Mia had decided to fly out to San Francisco and meet up with a guy she had been talking with for the past couple of weeks. She wasn't one to divulge on her personal life for the whole world to know, so it would come as surprise she was even talking or seeing someone. She made her way to the place they agreed to meet at.
Mia was dressed comfortably in some shorts and a black t-shirt. It was nice and warm in California, with tons of people to liven things up. When she spots Robert, she walks on over, a small smile on her face. "Rob man, how's it going?" |

It doesn't take long before Robert sees Mia approaching. He gives her a big smile from a distance and stands up as she gets beside him. "Mia! Hi! I'm doing good. How are you? How was your flight in?" He asks.
He isn't sure whether a hug or a handshake would be appropriate. Instead he just stands there which he thinks may be worse. He can't help but feel a little bit awkward meeting her for the first time, but he hopes it doesn't come across to her. |

It wasn't Mia's usual type of thing to do, talking to someone from far away and then meeting up with them but then again it was something different and new. |

"To be honest I'm not sure how it works either, but we can make it up." he says and he takes her hand and shakes it smiling at her again. "So have you been to San Francisco much before?" he asks. |
