The entire situation adds to the creepiness of the shoddily dressed lumps of hay which lay there looking like fallen soldiers who walked the same path as Dallas and Dustyn but failed to make it any further. Dustyn isn't really all that scared of them in general. Like clowns, dolls and other typical childhood fears, scarecrows don't really bother Dustyn as he knows exactly what they are. Clowns are just failed actors, scarecrows are lumps of hay and dolls give girls body image complexes. He's more sccared of a vagina than any of those. It's the unknown, however, which scares him most. Silence, darkness, suspense...they shake him to the core. The wind subsides and the rain has now completely died off, leaving the pair standing in the field in total silence. The quietness just sprung on them without warning which Dustyn found rather unsettling. No longer deafened by the elements, they can now hear each other breathing, every footstep and every movement of the crops they push past. They are now suddenly extremely aware of their environment and to hear something other than themselves would definitely send them over the edge. Even if they were being followed, the howling wind would have masked the sound of footsteps and enabled them to keep a level head. Ignorance is bliss as they say. "Yeah...let's go. Hopefully they'll let me use their bathroom. I need to pee real bad." Dustyn places a hand over where his bladder is situated. He does the typical "need to pee" dance before stopping dead in his tracks. Dustyn can't quite believe his eyes. The second "scarecrow" is now standing upright, facing Dustyn and is very much alive. He is frozen to the spot, not daring to take his eyes off of this person or thing or whatever the hell it is that was posing as a scarecrow. A million thoughts rush through Dustyn's mind every second but the most terrifying and prominent one is just how psychotic this person must be. If they are willing to pretend to be a scarecrow, happily wait out all night in weather like this just in case someone happens to wonder into an area where hardly anybody EVER goes then this person surely won't think twice about harming him and his boyfriend. They're clearly not of sound mind. "D-D-Da....Dallas..." Dustyn sounds terrified even in his quietest voice as he tries to capture his boyfriends attention without averting his gaze and drawing more attention to them. It's like one huge stand-off. Dustyn and this man are looking across the field at each other, making it known that they are very much aware of one another's presence. As soon as one of them moves, the chase is on. The figure slowly turns his right hand, showing off a sickle. It shimmers in the moonlight and looks sharp enough to slice someone in two in one swift movement. Growing up with health problems as a kid and them falling into drug habits, Dustyn has stared at and accepted death many times. The pain of being butchered isn't something he's willing to endure just yet though.

When Zac had first met Pixie some time ago, he had initially tried to get with her, just to see what would happen. As a surfer dude, he had that sort of reputation for being able to get with a lot of girls relatively easy, even if that wasn't truly the case...well, at least not for a few months before he met her. He had seen Pixie as some sort of challenge when they met. She was confident and unique, a combination that he found alluring, and something that came to hypnotise him in her. He thought that she would have that tough outer shell that such unique girls often did, but in reality, she was as sweet and funny as anyone could ever hope and they had ended up going on a couple of dates. In the year that had followed, the two had continued to get close, but without ever really slapping a tag on anything. They were having fun and enjoying each other's company and bodies after all. What did official tags matter? It wasn't like either of them hooked up with anyone else in the last year, or at least Zac knew he hadn't. Whenever he got back from a tour, he couldn't wait to see Pixie and pay her a visit. He loved hanging out with her, and today was no different. Today, he was dressed in a black v-neck vest shirt and some board shorts, his "I just got back from tour" clothes, and as he hopped out his truck, he looks up and smiles at Pixie's house. It certainly had been awesome to have her around these last few months since she moved her. Jogging to the door, he gently knocks it and peers through the screen door. "Oh, Pickles, it's your lover to see you," he jokes, chuckling to himself. Zac was a sweet but very confident guy, and he always had been, except for the times when he first met Pixie and she made him nervous and excited. It was a feeling that had stuck with him ever since, that effect she had on him.

After he knocks on the door, Zac leans against the ledge of the door and smiles meaningfully. It hadn't been all that often in his life that he had met a girl he would not only go out with once, but also come back to again, so he knew that the fact he and Pixie had continued to see each other so often meant that they really had something. When he hears her voice, Zac smiles. Her Finnish accent was still so prominent and cute, so exotic to him. Zac beams at her when she opened the door and immediately steps towards her. His tour in Europe meant they hadn't seen each other for a few weeks, so this was a nice moment for then. "Miss me?" he asks with a smile before he lets his arms move around her back, smiling into her kiss softly. "I'll take that as a yes," he smirks, his mind reeling from that one kiss, so full of desire and passion. "Touring was great. It was fun. But fuuuck was it cold?" he laughs. "What have I missed here? How have you been?" he asks, still not moving his arms from around her. He loved the way Pixie felt in his arms, and clearly she meant a lot to him.

"Good to hear. I missed you a hell of a lot," Zac says with a little smile. He tried to play it coy around Pixie but he could never help but look just that happy to be around her. She made him feel just so amazing about life, living the carefree way that she did and just being herself. It was refreshing. "Sounds like you've been a busy girl," Zac says with a smile. "I can't wait to hear what you've come up with. I'm sure it's going to blow us all away. Again," he smiles, gently rubbing her back as he follows her into the house. "Green tea...count me in," Zac says as he holds his hands out to the side like a yoga master, chuckling. "So what's your plans for the next few weeks then?" He asks as he sits down.

"You're such a flatterer, Pickles," Zac says with a smile. "A boy could get quite an ego knowing you missed him that much," he adds with a little grin. Zac had grown in confidence a lot since he met Pixie. She was the sort of person who could make him feel so good about himself just by being her, and he loved that about her. In the year or so that they had been involved with each other, it had always been so great to be around her, and to know that he could make her smile and make her happy. "A free spirit, that's you all over, huh?" he smiles at her as he sits down and lifts the cup of tea, smelling it. "Fragrant...mmmm," he jests, winking at her. "Me? Well the only plan I have is to make sure I get to see you a lot while we're both around. It's been too long, huh?" he asks, nodding. "How long are you here for?"

"That is true, now that you mention it," Zac say as he strokes his chin, before he bursts out laughing. He takes a drink of tea and nods. It tasted surprisingly better than he expected from something that was such an odd colour to him. He smiles as he listens to her talk about her album and recording. "It's so cute to hear you so determined about your music, Pickles. I really can't wait to hear it," he says with a little nod. Zac himself knew the perils of putting out new music and how hard it was to get it all completed and released. He had put his own back often enough. "Visiting?" he asks with a smirk. "I do live in LA, ya know?" Zac teases her. "Or do you mean here? That depends...are you letting me stay overnight?" he asks with a chuckle, joking around with her. Zac and Pixie had often hooked up in the last year, so he didn't feel uncomfortable joking with her about stuff like that. "I can visit as long as you want me to, Pickles. I missed you, and I've got nothing but time right now," he smiles.

Zac watches her talk about music over the rim of his cup, smiling warmly at her all the time. She was passionate about her music for sure, and it was super cool to see that sort of dedication in someone. "Don't make us all wait 30 years, please. You know how much I love hearing your music," Zac smiles at her. "Snoring? Come on, now. When have I ever snored beside you?" he says with a chuckle. "I can't promise to be 100 per cent neat, but I will try my best to clean up after myself," he adds with a wink, laughing at her being stern and serious with him. "Besides, you know it's been too long since you woke up beside me," he jokes with her, winking. Zac smiles and puts his hand on the side of her arm, smiling at her. She was one of his favourite people in the world for sure, and he was really glad to be here with her right now.

"Alright, alright, I promise to clean up after myself then," Zac says, pretending like he was genuinely worried she might toss him out of her house. "We have too much fun for me to go home yet," he smiles at her. They both enjoyed the various rendezvous that they had had in the past with each other, and it was always good fun when they both were around. "And I definitely don't snore," he chuckles. "My band would tell me if I did. And you would have complained at me in the past for it," he winks.

"That's a good point, Pix. It would be very rude of you to tell me off after I just rocked your world," Zac jokes with her, nudging her with his elbow. For two people who weren't officially in a relationship, they were surprisingly comfortable around each other with all their jokes and mannerisms. It was kinda sweet, even if they had never really discussed their status and made it conventionally so. He smiles back at her as he finishes his own tea. "You wanna go out or stay in or something? We could go and take a drive down by the beach? Or go shopping? I don't mind," he smiles softly.

"Sure, we can. The hills are quite nice at this time of year if you wanted to try walking up there?" Zac asks, nodding along. "It's always great to get out and get some fresh air. It's why I surf, don'tcha know?" Zac says, putting his cup in the dishwasher. He looks at Pixie when she says she can't hike in her dress. "Very true...I think...I'm thinking bikini..?" he says with a chuckle. "Or am I just being a perv?"
