OOC: Good thing you bumped, I had forgotten :P
The grand opening of Wireless Lounge. Most people were dressed on their best and were enjoying their french champagne before the first presentation ever began.
Backstage, Sýkn was finishing up the details of his make-up while Eldur and Jay C were practicing some notes on their guitars to warm up.
Finally, people were getting ready to begin. Some people had left, giving their places to strange goth kids that came specially for the performance.
Sýkn got on stage first, only wearing shorts and long army boots. He had red liquid all over his chest and face, some of it dropped on his bass.
"Thank you for coming here today. We're celebrating the opening of this amazing place, that has all the potential to be huge. We're The Violent Pyromaniac Enemies and this first song is called Don't Worry Now."
All the lights went on to reveal all other members already set to begin. Eldur began her guitar solo and soon the drums were heard. Sýkn then said the first words of the song, on his usual low and melodic voice. Deus Lacertila played the drums on a slower tempo, giving a suspence atmosphere along with the other acoustic instruments and keyboard. The audience was quiet, only Sýkn's words were echoing on the room.
"This is why I wrote that song. Something a little bit darker now. This next one's called Dark Alley." Sýkn gets his bass and plays a longer bass intro, with something around 40 seconds. No distortion used, but the sound of the acoustic bass made it even better. Other instruments are soon heard, and Sýkn's voice sounds a little raspy. Right after, Damned Bastard and Jay C start the intro of Fire on Your Face, a short ballad, not very important or amazing, but fitted the atmosphere. An old guy on the crowd couldn't stop laughing at them. Sýkn then filled his mouth with a liquid and spit it all over the guy's tuxedo clothes. He got pissed and left.
"Something I can't stand are arrogant bourgeois. They shall burn in hell. Speaking of which..." Next song was Echoes at Night, a powerful Industrial song that sounded even more powerful acoustic. Damned Bastard added some effects on the acoustic version and it sounded a dark goth ballad, rathen than an Industrial song. It was folled by an actual goth ballad, A Happy Song...Oh, Wait..., sang perfectly by Sýkn. His voice reached highs that echoed on the whole room, specially on the chorus 'Unicorns, candies, sex, movies, music, baseball/I want to burn them all!/Is that all you can see?/Open your eyes and agree/With me...'
"We recently made a cover single of a Misfits song, a really good Misfits song we all love. It's called Dig up Her Bones." The acoustic version of this song was even better than the studio one. If Sýkn hadn't said it was originally wrote by Misfits, nobody would have guessed it's a horror punk song.
"For the next two ones, I'd like to call a friend of mine, Kevin. Kevin's my british friend and will play bass for this next songs. You must be wondering, what about me? Well my friends, I'll play the keyboard on these ones. And Damned Bastard will play the violin, that's right, the violin. Just inovating our field a little."
The two last songs, All the Things I'll do to You and Blood Revolution, sounded brilliant with the violin. Sýkn clearly didn't have much experience with the keyboard, but the violin was worth all the effort. Brilliant ending with a song about blood, tons of it. The crowd seemed impressed that they could play such a brillian acoustic set. It was sure a legendary night to the band, the club and most people on the venue.
