Deneil holds Matt's hand with the weakest grip possible. He isn't exactly sure why he's holding it as the pair still have a lot to work through and apologise for if they are going to bury the hatchet but when someone saves your life, you don't really know where to begin when it comes to thanking and repaying them. The hand in hand gesture is like a way of expressing that he's cool with Matt being here. Deneil keeps hold of him as he talks. "I guess my shirt got ruined then?" he jokes, stifling his laughter so that he doesn't feel any pain. "Could you get me some water from that little machine over there or do you still not like me that much?" Deneil still has his hand in Matt's, as if he feels safer near him now. One minute they were sworn enemies the next it's as if Matt is now Deneil's guardian angel.

Deneil starts to drink the water, gulping it down and almost finishing the glass in one go. He hasn't had a drink for as long as he can remember and he only had two sips out of his pint before it was spat in. Deneil listens to Matt as he drinks, feeling a little bit guilty that Matt will be connected to the night by the media. No matter how many times Deneil will go on to tell the truth about how Matt saved him, people will always talk and some just aren't satisfied with people doing good. "The guy who stabbed me...we need to find him. He can't get away with this. He needs to be found before Billy gets his hands on him. As much as I want that fucker's head on a stick, I don't want Billy going to prison and trust me, Billy WILL kill him." When Matt asks about Mandy, he shakes his head and looks down at the bed. "No...I thought someone else would have contacted her. I've only just woken up. I...I don't know what I would say. I promised her, man." Deneil sighs and tries his best to change the subject. Although the guilt is still playing on his mind, the last thing he wants is to be feeling gloom as well as being in agony. "Seeing as you got my water, my left foot is itching like mad. Wanna give that a scratch then plump up my pillow?"

Deneil ponders for a second when Matt states that the night would have gone so differently. That was so true. If Tommy hadn't have been there, Deneil wouldn't be in hospital right now and experienced being on the brink of death but some good did come out of it. Had it just been Matt and his usual friends, they would have fought and walked away from it hating each other even more. Tommy stabbing Deneil caused Matt to react the way he did and save him, in turn putting an end to the feud, or at least a pin in it for now. "If that guy wasn't there though, we wouldn't be sat here chatting right now, man." When Matt refuses to scratch the itch for him, he groans and shuffles around. "Yeah but I can't bend over, bruv!" He then thanks Matt for adjusting the pillow. "If someone had told me that one day you'd be my nurse..." he laughs before holding onto his side again. "How big was the knife that fucker had?"

When Matt says that he has to go, Deneil nods his head. He doesn't want him to go as he's enjoying the company. Hospitals are not his favourite place and the honestly scare him a little bit. He knows that all of his other visitors will be questioning him, and giving him the third degree too so he's not looking forward to the rest of his stay in here. Deneil knows that Matt has his own life and can't sit in here forever plus he's already done enough for him tonight. "Yeah, I should be fine. Got the lovely hospital food to look forward to. I'm all set," he says sarcastically. "Thanks again, man." Deneil offers his hand out to Matt once more.

Deneil walks back into the bedroom area, fresh out of the shower in the motel room. It has been a chaotic and a rather surreal past few days for many, many reasons. In fact, the past month or so has been completely hectic and somewhat barbaric for the MC. Drying his hair with the soft, white cotton towel, he looks over at Matt who is still asleep in the bed. At one point this guy was his sworn enemy. The mention of his name made Deneil's blood boil but now, it's a very different story. Now they have a very...special kind of bond. Sitting back down on the edge of the bed, he chuckles as he looks at Matt who is still snoring away. Deneil slowly moves in and places his lips against Matt's right ear in a very gentle manner as if he's going to whisper. Deneil holds in his laughter before yelling out "MATT!!" in an attempt to startle him. Although they see each other completely differently now, it probably doesn't change how grating Deneil's voice is to Matt.

Deneil covers his face after the impact of the headbutt. His nose has not long healed and already here was Matt causing more pain to his face yet again. Luckily though it doesn't leave a mark but that's not to say the stinging sensation in his nose and forehead is pleasant in any way. "You make a habit of destroying my fucking face?!" he chuckles, rubbing his nose and trying his best to forget about the pain. As Matt retreats back under the covers, Deneil purposely annoys him like a child wanting to wake a parent up. He's been up for a good hour and is absolutely bored out of his mind. He needs someone to talk to and doesn't care if Matt only had a few hours of sleep. After all, they were up until all hours last night. He reaches under the covers and starts to tickle the sole of Matt's foot. "Maaaaaaaaatttttttt.....stop fucking ignoring me..." Matt clearly isn't in the mood to move just yet so Deneil will have to resort to more extreme methods in a few moments. While he waits, Deneil looks down at the huge scar on his side, courtesy of his stabbing and makes sure it looks OK. He tried his best to clean it in the shower but it's still rather tender and surrounded by huge, painful bruises which makes it difficult to touch.

"Oi! Billy might be the handsome one in the family but I'm not THAT bad, come on now. I could look like you, mate. Then I'd be fucking worried about walking the streets in the daylight. People might start throwing shit at me." Deneil laughs and playfully ruffles his hair. It's hard to believe that there was a time when Deneil felt sick at the thought of even touching Matt. "Yeah...last night was pretty intense, bruv. I've already went for my shower. Water pressure is good in there. The shower was great until I had to clean this fucker," he says, pointing to his stitches. "Thing is, I stole the only big towel, mate." Deneil laughs and tugs on the towel wrapped around his waist.

Deneil punches Matt in the arm in a playful manner but he is very heavy handed so probably hits him a little harder than intended. "Yeah...there is a bit of a whiff in here isn't there?" Deneil laughs and shuffles closer to Matt before farting and laughing even louder, doubling over. Laughing causes him pain in his side but he still can't help it. When Matt gets up to leave he throws a pillow at his bare backside. "I don't envy your flat little arse at all, mate. I may not have much going for me in...other departments but my arse is alright." Deneil stands up and takes hold of some bandages from his suitcase. He then follows Matt into the bathroom, letting him shower while Deneil uses the mirror to see what he's doing as he patches his side up again.

Deneil winces a little as he patches up his side. He considers himself the luckiest man on earth at the moment though and to even be feeling anything is a miracle. Deneil could have died that night and had it not been for Matt, he definitely would have. He finished dressing the healing wound and hears Matt from inside the shower. "Yeah...it was certainly something. Can't exactly say it's something you do every day now is it?" Deneil walks over to the shower and rests against the glass, making sure to talk loud enough for Matt to hear him over the running water although it's not hard to mishear someone with a voice like Deneil's. "Matt...this stays between us, right? Last night keeps running through my head and I keep thinking about...what it makes us. We can't have anyone else knowing."

Deneil moves out of the way to let Matt out of the shower. He watches him struggle with the small towel before laughing and taking off his own large towel, offering it to him. "Here, take this. That one is barely covering your low hangers. I'm dry anyway. Going to put something on and get something to eat in a minute. You wanting anything from room service?" Deneil tries to change and lighten the subject but it's a hard one to avoid. A whole lot happened last night. He holds his hand out, trying to stop Matt from falling. "Look, not gonna lie, bruv...this is going to be hard to forget for a while. There's people you don't want to get hurt by it...like Mandy. Sometimes you might feel like confessing but sometimes the truth does more damage and this is one of those cases." Deneil places a hand on Matt's shoulder from behind and looks at him in the mirror. "It just has to stay with us OK? We didn't plan it...it sort of just went down in the moment...shit happens, yeah."
