Christopher Hudson is in his London apartment, getting ready for another writing session with a fellow pop star and also a friend, Reese Hollinsworth. He resides in a rather busy part of the city but the exact street he is on is very quiet and friendly. It looks like the stereotypical image of old London - filled with beautiful old buildings, the black cabs and an overall "posh" feel to it. Christopher's building is a well preserved block dating back to the early 1900's but inside it's very modernised and spacious. His apartment, as large as it is, still manages to have a very welcoming and comfy feel to it. It's definitely a place he's made feel like home and has a lot of character as opposed to many clinical looking converted flats. Despite being in the comfort of his own home, Christopher is still dressed and has made an effort to look presentable. He has a white shirt on, dark jeans, expensive Italian dress shoes and is wearing his glasses while his hair is perfectly styled up into a quiff. Just because he works from home doesn't mean he's going to slack when it comes to his appearance. He potters around the apartment, collecting files and bits and pieces he's been working on before Reese arrives. Christopher listens out for the door.

Christopher opens up his laptop and begins to sort through some music files as he hears the knock on the door. He rests the device on top of his coffee table and gets up off of the couch to let his friend in. Opening the door, Christopher smiles and greets Reese with a hug. It had been too long since they had seen each other and the past few months also haven't been the kindest to Christopher so making time to see his friends was a huge task in itself. He gives his friend a kiss on the cheek and invites him in after the Italian welcoming. "Buongiorno! How are you?" he asks in a very upbeat manner as he closes and locks the door behind Reese.

Christopher does appear to be more chipper than usual. For the past year he's been in and out of bad relationships, dealt with multiple feuds and setbacks within his band and generally been feeling like the whole world is against him. Despite still being unlucky in love and his band still enduring numerous setbacks, Christopher appears to be in a happy place. He's receiving more attention and accolades for his songwriting for other pop stars. Not only is he enjoying his work being appreciated but the money is great too. He penned "Halcyon" and "Bang The Drum", two of the biggest selling songs around right now. When Reese asks him how he is, Christopher smiles and makes his way into the living room. "Me? I'm fucking rich and getting attention. Why would I be anything other than happy?" he says with a little chuckle in his voice. Christopher sits down on the couch and motions Reese to sit down next to him by patting the area next to him. "It's really nice to see you again. You lost weight? You looked a bit heavier last time," Christopher asks in his usual blunt manner. Many people see him as rude but the people who know Christopher understand that it's just the way he is and there's no malice in his direct questioning.

Christopher chuckles and nods his head. He likes being the centre of attention and everyone knows this so there's no point in hiding it. Christopher was brought up in an all singing, all dancing, extremely theatrical world so it's normal for him to be in the spotlight and receiving constant pats on the back. Although he may not be releasing any material of his own at the moment, the amount of knocks on his door he's had since his songwriting blew up are more than enough to stroke his ego. "So why are you sat on my couch, may I ask? Do you want a hit song or have you just came to check me out?" he says laughing. Christopher certainly takes pride in his appearance and doesn't mind people appreciating that. When Reese says that he's lost weight, Christopher looks at him from head to toe, sizing him up. "Good. You look good." Christopher smiles.

Christopher jokingly shrugs his shoulders and sighs. "What would I like it to be? I'd prefer a songwriting session. I'd rather make money out of this. I don't want to be in your presence if I'm not getting anything out of it in all honesty." Christopher says with a mischievous grin on his face before playfully nudging Reese. When his friend jokes about checking him out, Christopher chuckles and again, looks Reese up and down. "Well...you aren't exactly bad to look at. The slimming down has also done wonders. Look at that jawline." Christopher laughs and holds underneath Reese's chin, comically inspecting it closely. "Nearly cut my hands just touching it." Christopher smiles and leans back on the couch, looking very comfortable and presenting himself in a more casual and informal manner now. "Going through a dry spell? We all go through that. To get the creative juices flowing again you should either endure something tragic or get totally wrecked and wake up in someone else's bed. Those experiences make for great songs. I prefer the latter option." Christopher chuckles and takes off his glasses.

"The latter option is always preferable. It's even better when you can actually remember the night and write about the experience rather than just filling in the blanks while nursing a hangover." Christopher chuckles and is a little bit surprised when Reese suddenly asks for his glasses, totally going off topic and breaking from his usual character. "Um...OK..." Christopher smiles and hands the glasses over to Reese. "They might confuse or hurt your eyes though. They're specially made for me. Only one lens has a prescription in it and it's quite strong. The other one is just a fake lens since I can't exactly see out of my left eye." Christopher brings his laptop up onto his knee and opens up the device to begin writing or at least brainstorming ideas for a song. The wallpaper is a picture of him and his 1 year old son, Prince. "Right...so tell me a bit about this new album of yours. What's the sound you're going for?" Christopher speaks rather slowly as he's concentrating on pulling up and searching through a bunch of documents on his computer. Meanwhile, he kicks off his shoes and runs a hand through his hair, slightly messing up his quiff. He looks way more relaxed and at home now.

Christopher watches as Reese fiddles around with the glasses. Although Reese is just playing around with his glasses, Christopher enjoys seeing someone actually interact with him and just be themselves. Aside from the members of his group who he's known for years, most people who come Christopher's way as of late either break his heart and leave him feeling like a fool or they speak to him in a very professional manner with no niceties, just looking for a hit or a business deal. It's refreshing being around Reese. "I was always a straight-A student but I always knew, and so did my mom and stepfather, that I'd go on to attend a performing arts school. I guess I was lucky having a definite goal at such a young age and having the support behind me. Some people at our ages right now are still trying to figure out what they want in life." While Christopher may be referring to education and career, he himself still has a lot of self discovering to do. He loves to work, reach targets and succeed but when it comes to socialising and the topic of love, Christopher still feels like a fish out of water and has no idea where he's going. "You look really cute in those glasses." Christopher clears his throat and turns his head away, trying to hide his blushing and embarrassment. The words came out before he had time to think about it, in usual Christopher fashion. "So...the record...um, when you say "more mature" are you meaning something a little darker...maybe with more raw lyricism or are you just going all full blown adult contemporary on us?"

Christopher can tell that the cute comment made an impact, although he's not sure if it's a positive or a negative one. Reese totally glazed over it and when he did speak, he stumbled a little and only delivered a short sentence. The casual, breezy flow of their conversation seems to have stopped. "OK...well in terms of production, I'm no producer so your guys will probably have to deal with that but in terms of lyrics and pouring your heart out onto paper, I'm your man. I never go into a meeting forcing myself to write a song. If an artist comes to me I want to hear their ideas and know what's going on in their lives. The generic pop songs are written by myself and then sent off. With you though, I assume you're looking for the best and a track that really suits you. If we don't get one started today, you know you can always come back. We can just chill and chat while I take mental notes." Christopher smiles, still feeling a little bit awkward after calling Reese cute but he couldn't help it. He did look cute and can't deny it. "You...didn't mind that earlier, right? Wh-when I um...when I called you cute. I don't do that with everyone I write with." Christopher leans in a little and chuckles.

"Oh really? Well what are some of your ideas? It's great when someone has their own ideas but don't get offended if I think your idea is shit. I'm only here to help." Christopher playfully nudges Reese. Although he says it in a joking manner, Christopher will just come out and tell Reese straight up that he either loves or hates and idea. Reese probably already knows this. When his friend blushes once more after being called cute, Christopher realises that he liked the compliment but feels awkward and probably doesn't want to say anything similar in return to Christopher. He likes Reese. He's a close friend, they share a lot in common and Christopher doesn't find him offensive to look at. He wants Reese to know this without pushing it too far. Christopher went through another break up last month. He either falls for the wrong person or someone who really isn't interested. Maybe it's the closeness and intimate setting but Christopher feels an urge to just lean over and kiss Reese. It's not like him to do such a thing when he's supposed to be working away. "I'm sorry if I...overstepped the mark. It...uh...well...never mind." Christopher shakes his head and clears his throat, feeling foolish.

Christopher smiles softly when he hears the cheerfulness pick up again in Reese's voice. The last thing he wants to do is make someone feel uncomfortable or obliged to flirt back with him. "Yeah, I have a piano...and a keyboard. It's all upstairs in my rather untidy and cramped "music room". Every house needs one of them. Don't call it a home if you haven't got a music room." Christopher chuckles and again moves a little closer to Reese, feeling more relaxed when he begins to flirt back with him. He's not practically sitting on his lap but Reese can probably notice how close he's moved since he first arrived. "Oh...it's...kinda hot is it? Noted." Christopher laughs lightly and winks back. He looks down at his feet, thinking momentarily. With all the flirting going on right now, what he's about to say may come off sounding a little desperate but he'd like it to happen so it has to be said. "Reese. Do you...do you want to...stay over tonight?" he asks quietly, with his hand ever so briefly brushing against his friend's leg as he moves around slightly. Being a single adult, Christopher isn't just looking someone to watch movies with and snore against when he means a sleepover. Part of him hopes that Reese picks up on it and agrees while the other part fears rejection.
