Billy and Gemma walk into TBD, Gemma obviously in a lot of pain.
Billy: You sure you wanna be out tonight, babe? I swear I'll drive you straight back home
Gemma: I wanna be out tonight. After tomorrow I'll probably be housebound for weeks
Billy sighs, obviously not happy with her decision - and even less so when he saw who was in the pub. He put his hand on the top of Gemma's back, trying to avoid her injury and steers her to a table before going to get some drinks.
Barman: Hey, Billy. How are you?
Billy: Hmm, not great, but things could be worse!
Barman: Vodka and a pint?
Billy: No, soft drinks tonight. The wife is high on painkillers at the moment!
Barman: Doesn't stop you drinking though, right?
Billy: Yeah, I'll really be able to look after her when I'm drunk, won't I! *laughs* Besides, I'll be at the hospital with her for the next few days, so don't wanna be there day and night with a hangover!!
Barman: Fair point! Diet cokes?
Billy: That sounds good!!
The barman begins making the drinks while Billy turns to watch Gemma, bent forward in her seat, grimacing in pain, and he felt it for her. |

Billy collected the drinks and walked over to Gemma's table.
Billy: Sure you're okay?
Gemma: I'm fine
Gemma was whispering her reply, slowly raising from her doubled over position. Billy sighed, he obviously wasn't going to change her mind.
Moments later, Dean entered TDB, and joined the table.
Dean: Hey, hows it?
Gemma: Hey, what are you doing here?
Dean: Well I thought I'd come see if you're okay before tomorrow. I tried your place, you weren't in, so I tried calling your mother and she said you weren't there, so I came here. You feeling alright about it?
Gemma: I guess. Whatever happens at least I won't be in this pain.
Dean: It will be fine. They know what they are doing.
Dean smiles and hugs Gemma. She grimmaced slightly as he touched her back. Billy got up and excused himself to go to the bathroom. |
