Just one question and hypothetical. Would you give your heart to a man who murdered your whole family after he raped your mother at the age of 17, got 40 years in prison, suddenly became a good person. He got your heart and 5 years later he rapes someone again. I know you will never know who will get your organs, and thats just the frightenend part.
The point i want to make is that its a matter of principle. Voluntairily yes, but no obligation. When you do it voluntairily you choose for this risk. When you are born as a baby and automaticly are a donor, thats the way i see it when you have to sign a paper that you dont want to be a donor, you are in hands of the state. Than life has no meaning at all anymore. They can do with you what they want.
Rich people come first
You have to pay for it big
There will come all kinds of lists
People who signed a paper that they dont want to be a donor will become outcast
etc etc

It's an entirely fucking stupid hypothetical. I mean it really is. I get what you are trying to say but fucksake, yeah, that's bad but it's also UTTERLY UNLIKELY TO HAPPEN. The smallest chance. Like 1 in 10 million, if not significantly higher.
Volunteering doesn't work because people don't care, people are apathetic, it takes too much effort for most folk for something they don't think about unless they need an organ. Which is why there is a huge shortfall in organs, while plenty others rot away in the ground, no use to anybody. It's stupid, and it's just sad.
I can't believe you are fixating on the 1 in a million chance. It's farcical. It's not likely. Are you one of the people who buys a lottery ticket every week just imagining it must be your week this time? You probably need to go to maths class and read up about probability and so on, try to actually get some damn perspective. I mean if you put your left foot out the door first in the morning instead of the right you COULD snap your ankle. But you won't. Ditto with this stupid hypothetical you are are obsessed with.
The rest of your post is incoherent and paranoid ranting really. The point I want to make is that it's a matter of HUMANITY. Dying, and leaving your organs to rot because you are some sort of crazy paranoid person is fucking unfortunate for the person who could have used your liver or your kidney or your corneas.
Also, no, rich people don't come first, not in this country at least. There's a waiting list. And uhh, come on. Learn about market economics. Surely the current situation where there is a considerably higher demand than supply of organs would create a market where organs cost huge quantities of money and rich folk can bribe their way up the waiting list, no? Where as if there are more organs, you will have a larger supply, and that will deflate costs because the demand will therefore go down
Of course the above is giving you the benefit of the doubt that that is how the organs market work. In the western world at least, that isn't how it works. Because organs are not commodities like steel or oil or whatever else.
