"for sure. We'd merely have to advance on our foes while snapping our fingers." Lydia giggles and snaps her fingers while humming the opening tune from West side story. Maddie seemed fun and wasn't put off by weirdness. That was a big plus. Lydia had the tendency to come off as a bit intense to some people.

"Ooh, artsy crafty are we? I'll have to voyage further into flea markets than the mid century lamps and shit." Lydia says rather interested. She really admired people who could do things. The amount of money she spent on Etsy was probably concerning but it was worth it. Having something unique that wasn't churned out in a factory was something she enjoyed. "Well...I'm on the west coast, currently. So put that face here. I have to help a fellow coworker." she cackles and points to her chest.

"I've only been to the hourly hotels here in the usa. Couldn't say what they have outside of vibrating beds." Lydia replies with a tired sigh before laughing warmly. "I'm kidding! I'm only a harlot in band name only!" She continues while shaking her head. " I've been Living in Belgium for the past few months at the hess....well,I guess you'd call it a compound? Commune? Honestly,I can't wait to get on the road and see and steal it all. Oh! Which country has the softest bathrobes? Stealing one of THOSE seems like the holy grail."


"I'll give you the full report when it happens,trust me. Currently though? I could tell you all about organic juice and cookie baking. It's.... amazingly tame over there currently. " Lydia grins at Maddie. She puts her elbows on the table and props her chin in her hands after hearing Maddie has an album. "Oh! So you aren't a label suit!" She exclaims with her cheeks squished by her hands. " If that albums didn't make them happy....' Lydia trails off and looks meaningfully at the crowbar. " Having operable kneecaps will." She finishes

"unbroken eye contact makes things either sexy or menacing. There is no in-between,but there is sometimes overlap. She states with a single snort of laughter and brushes her hair while maintaining the mentioned eye contact. "Vidal Sassoon. If you don't look good,we don't look good." She quips the most menacing of hair care slogans. She seemed to remember stories that the actual guy of Vidal was a bad ass.

At the hands comment, Lydia put a hand to her chest in surprise. "Why miss Madison,I do declare, You are just a big ol flirt. A Terribly big flirt. You be careful now,or I may just take you up on that." She says to Madison in a rather exaggerated southern accent. Being from Tennessee,her natural voice had a hint of the accent. This could be much stronger if she was tired or upset. Lydia nods at Madison's words and leans back in the noisy chair. She agreed on many levels, though she loved her mass produced ,kitschy things. Lydia loved people who were interested in the bigger picture,things outside themselves and whatnot." Well, there's plastic and nuclear waste. That'll be around to mark us as being here. What I find depressing is the fact nobody prints pictures. There will be generations where nobody knows what things and people looked like. Now I'm sounding as old as my name." Lydia says wryly. In certain times,she liked her name. In others? It sounded like an old lady's name. Like, Ethel of something.

"I assume you'd say the same in any case." She grins at Madison. " I'm at least a hotel where they serve coffee and doughnuts in the morning kind of woman. If there's no continental breakfast,the pants stay ON." She jokes and snaps the waist of her jeans. Lydia was late to the debauchery party,but it was never too late to start. Lydia near falls back in the chair with the swoon she does at the mention of scandinavia. "It looks so beautiful there. I NEED to. Eating lingonberry and wrapped in a bathrobe. That is when I know I've made it. We've got to tour together. I need someone to do the talking while I remain the strong, silent type."

Lydia lights up at the mention of cara. "Oh! I guess we're practically buddies already. She used to...date? Be really friendly with? Anyways,she knows Mariko. I work with Erica,but definitely have taken up with Mariko more. She assumed this was safe to mention. Mariko only said the most positive things about cara. "Cara seems really sweet and is the inspiration for anyone trying to be tattooed and sexy." She gushes. It was true, any one entering that realm had cara to be compared to. "I... caught some of those shows." Lydia smiles knowingly. " I wasn't about to miss a chance to see that! Cara and Karoliena on the same stage?!" Lydia fans herself dramatically. She had done some work for Karoliena's company. But she didn't want to say it . People might get the wrong idea if one models for a fetish company. " No vending machine will be safe if they cross you. We'll take everything and leave them with only boxes of raisins. Nobody likes raisins."

"i like sea turtles and all,i would even say i LOVE sea turtles,but i flat out refuse those cardboard straws.i will do without or use an aluminum one." lyda says firmly and as compassionately as she can. she loves animals and will probably end up using her success to help animals,but she also hates the feel of soggy paper in her mouth. in a perfect world,lydia would probably go vegan,but she likes the taste of pork and chicken too much. lyda smiles widely at the memory of looking at old photos with her parents. it was comforting to know those photos were held by people that are no longer alive. it made the past far more real. "i like to think people back then were just as silly. i have so many pictures of my great grandma sitting in random garbage cans." lydia cackles at the memory of a very strange woman in the 1950's. "you do the youtube thing? i cant bring myself to do it. there is just so much negativity there. i like to think i am...passable at playing. i am not about to put a video of me playing bass on there. i also cant do that shameless self promotion. i will never ask people to smash my button or ring my bell!"

lydia may not have been in the harlots long,but she knew what they were about. she assumed the band was used for money laundering or something by studio60. they band has never belonged to another label but also didnt release much at all. the harlots toured relentlessly,but their discography could probably be counted on two hands. "it may work. atomic war bride is huge in Scandinavia and Germany. the harlots just sort of glom on to their fame there. it may work out for you too..you,um play many tiny rat trap clubs?" lydia says while studying madison. she didnt really know the woman,so for all she knew madison was a huge star in circles lydia wasnt privy to." if you arent the seedy club type...we'll i am inviting myself to your catering table. scenery or not,one needs to keep full. " she grins to madison.

"now i picture cara as a sausage." lydia giggles at the idea of liking the result of something,but not wanting to know how it was made. "i guess now that i am in the harlots and know mariko,i am in the club. it seems everyone knows everyone else in this business. " lydia assesses. she knew a tremendous amount of gossip just by overhearing her bandmates talk amongst themselves. "i'd give it a go. it looks like a lot of fun. the whole burlesque thing just seems like a blast. get some bettie page bangs,a whip. purely fun though,i could never seriously do the dom thing."

"yeah. it really is. like when i make it,like truly make it? i'm going to open an animal sanctuary. i'll pay people to do handle all the day to day stuff. i'll just come by and ogle the animals." lydia replies. she was practical if anything. the harlots were perceived as being lazy,but part of being hired for the band was the understanding that one would be on the road about 300 days per year. there'd be no time to really delve into things proper,so funding would have to do. lydia laughs and gives a little shrug. "christ,if that isnt the truth. me,my sister and mom. we all look the same. i guess have that to look forward to. my mom looks marginally older than me. i also wish i had the pair my mother has. she never takes no for an answer,but isnt mean about it. so she always gets her way. wonderful to have along when hitting those sales!" lydia still wasnt flush with cash,so she was always up for a good sale. lydia looks impressed that madison has people. it may come with the territory of being a solo artist or the face of a band. erica probably had people. "look at you. madison: pop diva!" lydia giggles playfully.

"really?! maddie is a bad girl?! do tell!" lydia says in surprise,her lips forming a perfect O in shock. until proven otherwise,lydia tended to think everyone was innocent and and pure as the driven snow. but when proven otherwise,she would definitely be the devil on your shoulder wanting you to make bad decisions. well,there was no time like the present since madison confirmed she was no choir girl. "oh..so you arent going to blush when i say we should hit a liquor store and have some fun up in malibu?" lydia offers her new and seemingly aimed for mainstream success friend. sure, it was a 2 and half hour drive,but who went to california and didnt go to malibu?! "oh honey,i am already at that catering table and stuffing rolls and slices of ham in my pocket!"

"you never pictured cara as a sausage and with two butt cheeks hanging out? i guess i am just a big ol weirdo,maddy!" lydia replies,shaking with laughter. maddy had a point,it was a crazy game of kevin bacon in this industry. "i am guessing everyone is clean or else a single case of sexy disease would've already made its way through like wild fire."

lydia looks over maddie skeptically and is in overly dramatic thought for awhile. "well...i dont know. i GUESS i could keep a spot open for you. you'll have to start with hamsters and work your way up to the bigger animals. i'll be running a tight ship at lydia's land of homeless animals and fish emporium." she says with a little smirk. she'd never had a hamster or any rodent really,but assumed they were out there and people got tired of them. so hammies needed homes too. "i wouldnt be too hard on us. i think its all a matter of perspective.i mean,we all must be doing something right. look at those old pictures,people look 30 when they are in high school. we also live far longer. i'll take that over being skilled in the art of whirling dervish maintenance." lydia giggles. she had no idea what a whirling dervish was,but it sounded old timey and probably had lead paint with whalebone structures.

"i guess we'll just have to see what you're into.i doubt anyone thinks they are bad. ed gein probably just considered himself and outsider artist." she says with a little look with a raised eyebrow to maddie. being newly attached to the hesses,she was no clean living prude. but she was only into the fun stuff,she had no urge to speed things with those sorts of chemicals. maybe on tour just to keep going when otherwise exhausted,but she would cross that bridge when she came to it. so maybe this year she would find out.
"dear diary,today i accidentally threatened a woman with a crowbar. now we are going on a road trip. " lydia cackles while pretending to write in a small book. " dead serious though. i adore the beach...living in tennessee,they were quite rare. chilling beside a river just isnt the same vibe at all. i rented a car,so dont expect too much. they gave me a corolla. its totally not as cool as the car i have at home." she says sarcastically. at home,lydia had...an archaic corolla from the clinton administration years. but it kept chugging along,so she was too punk rock to replace it. "oh..also,im not going to have a jealous maddie lover following us,am i? i was the other woman once and i am never doing THAT again!" she jokes but is working out if madison is taken or not.

"gotta say...i'm picturing you and cara living in a porno house...but shes still wearing the sausage costume. its weird,but i can still work with that." she grins devilishly. " she seems super sweet though. which makes me think she was a terrible roommate. the sort that never flushes or some other really irritating habit. you can tell me,i promise i wont run to the presses." she jokes to maddie as if culture uncut was really breaking down the door of the harlots' bassist for hot takes on anything. she nods along with the assessment that it'd probably get around quickly if someone out there was scummy below decks. " good point. i'll keep checking the std cork board in the label breakroom."

"Well, look what the cat dragged in," Veronica said as she walked up to the park bench she spotted Rory sitting at. IT had been a while since the pair had last met and she was surprised when he reached out to meet with her. She reluctantly agreed, not sure if it was a good idea or not but what did she have to lose? A lot had happened over the past few years and she wasn't the same person she was back when they first met. Even her physical appearance had somewhat changed as she was now a brunette. She smiled a little seeing him. "Hey."

Veronica walked slowly into his embrace. It was a little awkward but she got over it. "Yeah, same to you. It's been a while, yeah. How have you been? You kinda...disappeared." She chuckled a little. She didn't expect him to stick around after their break up but she was kind of shocked to not hear anything from or about him for the past several years.

Veronica listened to him explain and she nodded her head. While she was a little disappointed she understood. He had a lot more to think about than just her but she did want to be there for him. "Don't apologize, Rory. You'll make me feel responsible." She smirked slightly. "I mean have you seen what the world's been like the last couple of years? Everyone gets a pass in my book to run off and disappear." She laughs softly, trying to lighten the mood. "Are you at least okay?"

“Good. I’m glad to hear that.” Veronica smiled back at him after he admitted he missed her. She couldn’t deny she had missed him also. “Well, life has been great recently. I just started a new job with an entertainment company as their fashion designer and I moved back from New York a few months ago back here in LA. Oh, I changed my hair too.” She laughed as if it wasn’t obvious. “Some small bumps in the road here and there but I am a lot better than I was last year, that’s for sure..” She said softly in almost a whisper.

"Oh please, I'm not model material. I just like to make them look good." She chuckles, admiring his attempted flirting. It was classic Rory and she missed his sense of humor. "Ansley's good! She also got hired at the same company. We don't live together anymore though but we're still close as ever. It's not bad living alone." She shrugged. "And she doesn't hate you at all. I don't know if hate is even possible for her so don't worry." She waved her hand dismissively and then sighed a little. "Well, funny story I was actually engaged last year but we broke it off. It was tough and you know but I'm totally fine now."
