"I tried it but eh, it's not really my thing but thank you for the compliment." Veronica beamed. If there was one thing she loved it was being complimented. She wasn't exactly the most humble when it came to herself. "True, you were not but as long as I was okay, she was okay. I mean don't expect her to invite you over for board games or anything but she won't throw dagger eyes at you or anything." Veronica laughed and then rubbed her arm as she tried to explain. "I guess I kind of got cold feet. Maybe I'm not marriage material, I don't know. Oh, and he did cheat too so that had a lot to do with it. When Veronica was away he did nothing but play." She laughed a little, thinking how humorous it was now when she had been so heartbroken about it last year but she had managed to get over it.

"Ah, shame then. Her game nights are to die for." Veronica smirked and then playfully nudged him with her elbow. "Yeah, it's his loss. Between you and me, I don't think he was 'the one' anyway. He was just very charming. I really dodged a bullet so it was a blessing in disguise. After that I just focused on work and even started working out so it wasn't the end of the world. I feel like I'm better than ever actually. But enough about me, what have you been up to?"

"Sure, I am always down for some fun as long as there's alcohol." Veronica winks at him. She had hoped this was a sign of them being able to reconnect again as friends. She wasn't sure if anything would happen more from that and she didn't dare try to push it. "Yeah, I sure know how to pick them right?" She giggled. She was actually glad to hear she wasn't the only one failing at relationships, not that she was glad Rory was but it made her feel a little better he understood her. "You are a unique man, Mr. Delaney. God, what's wrong with people? We're two perfectly amazing people but others can't seem to get with the program. Oh well, their loss."

"You're right, I'm not the best drunk but it's always fun at least!" Veronica said as she laughed. "Obviously." She stuffed her hands in her coat pockets. "Do you want to go..I don't know maybe get something to drink or eat? It would be nice to just hang out I guess. I've missed having you around you know?" She felt a little strange admitting how she felt but it was the truth.

Veronica stood up. "Pizza sounds perfect. I haven't had a slice in like months. I know exactly where to go." She hesitated a little before adding the next part but ultimately decided they were both adults and they could handle it. "Do you want to just order a pizza and hang out at your room? Not to be weird or anything but if it's weird for you then we can find a place to sit and eat." She shrugged a little.

"Sir, I've had your pizza and......yeah." Veronica bites her lip and laughs. She starts walking taking out her phone to search up pizza spots near and choosing her favorite one. "Don't flatter yourself. What kind of pizza are you in the mood for? I don't do pineapples so don't even bother."

"Theeeeen meat lovers it is." Veronica laughs and orders it through her phone. As they walk into the hotel and head into the elevator, she smirks a little at his statement about his suite. "It's fine, I'm not that high maintenance anymore. I can survive in regular places too now." She folds her arms and leans against the wall. "How long have you been staying here? Do you live in LA now?"

"To be fair I said I'm not THAT high maintenance. Trust me, I'm still pretty up there but I can go a day or 23 hours of being pretty casual." After hearing about his plans, she smiled. It seemed as though he had his head on straight and would be okay. That's mainly what she worried about but now she didn't have to anymore. "Good, that's great. I mean even if it's not a for sure thing at least you have some kind of idea of what you want to do. That's good enough. I hope it goes good for you and the band." She laughed. "Oh yeah I know everyone in this city so I would have made them all make your life a living hell if you hadn't." She winked playfully at him before chuckling again.

"You're right, that's my charm after all. I really have nothing else going for me." Veronica says jokingly. She had always been spoiled growing up and only recently had to learn how to fend for herself so while she wasn't the queen of independence, she did manage to tone down her high brow attitude but if she completely changed would she really be Veronica? "What did you miss most of all? The groupies? The parties? The tours?" She sat down in one of the chairs in the room. "You're right, I was always good on it by myself." She patted herself on the back.
