Thanks Troy ;) Today was fun, uploaded two videos of my new band (essentially Laura & Lewis, but with Jonny) 'We Have Boyfriends' practicing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1xdxt8jv_cHallelujah cover - Vocals / Four-Handed Piano / Guitar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMGRv-Z9AkUFeeling Good cover (minus solo) - Vocals / Piano / Cello The latter is the most boring thing to play in the world, I swear to god. And on another note, happy-thought-giving note... Eeeeeeeh ^_^ |

What's it with gay kids and weird hairdos nowadays?
So I've been without any heat for a week now, fucking hell. Cold showers are nowhere near the greatness of hot ones.

Has anyone ever read Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting, Acid House, etc)? I'm planning to order some of his books for christmas, but I want to know if he uses lots of scottish expressions and stuff. For some weird reason, the english versions of the books are much cheaper than those in potuguese so I need to know if it's something so hard to understand that I'll just give up half way through the books. Irvine Welsh does indeed write in a Scots dialect. I've never actually read his stuff myself, but you can have a look at the excerpt from Trainspotting on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/...ef=sib_dp_pt#reader-pageFrankly, I find it hard to read, and I can understand folk talking like that out loud. But yeah, for a non-native speaker I imagine reading Scots would be Hell. Edited by user 13 November 2009 14:25:07(UTC)

Much as the tree does not understand the fungus, much as the cup does not understand the glass, the mammal does not understand the reptile. Okay we do our best, but behaviour≠thought, and since the A-B body model shows, there is one to one correspondence between the mind and the body. The mind knows, the body merely does.
Though we share a similar R-Complex, the early reptilian core of the brain, our higher functioning mind is dictated by the circumstances of our evolutions. The advancements of the mammalian brain allowed us to better cope in the various conditions of the planet on which we live. Are we not simply reptiles with fur and wombs? What the fuck do you need a wooly coat for if you live on the equator? Get out of the Gobi desert, you dumb Inuits.
Reptiles of course diverged quite widely here on Earth, becoming both birds and mammals. Those few dinosaurs that made it, were tiny, and grew feathers. The little tree-lizards, became shrews. The massive lumbering beasts of the Jurassic? Obsolete. Unable to progress. Useless quite frankly. Want to survive? Don't get fat and lazy then. Instead, learn to adapt, be mobile, independent. Don't rely on the sun. What if it's cloudy, you solar-powered morons? This novel reads like the muddled pages of the diaries of several different schizophrenics.
