Its the game of choice, and we are lucky enough to have free choice.
As for his letting it happen, again if he fixed it all, it would ruin the plan stated above. All will be fixed in the end, and everyone will get whats coming to them. Where were you about an hour ago. This is the post of the day. Not only have I heard this before, it supports what I'm talking about Free Will.

Surely he could have just saved his son's pain and the pain of the millions of deaths he has caused over the years in the bible and the pain of all the innocent's if he just intervened, like Gildermershina has said numerous times. In fact no one has actually answered that, and I think that's Christianity in a nut shell. Just dodge the hard questions and change the rules for the easy ones. |

As far as I am concerned God cannot be a loving being. As has been stated numerous times in this thread and others on religion, according to Christianity to be saved you must ask for and accept Christ as your savior. That is all well and good for the people in the civilized world but what about the undiscovered or unconnected tribes of Africa and South America. These people are condemned to Hell because they didn't have the opportunity to know about God? And what about the living conditions for the vast majority of the planet's population. They are living in a veritable "Hell on Earth" that was given to them by God and he expects them to believe he loves them. If God truly loved us all so much why does he show so much favoritism? How come I get a better life because God chose to let me be born in the US while a girl the same age as me in Africa has to worry about whether she is going to get raped today when she goes out for water, if there is even any water left? Does God love the West more? (Certainly some right-wing politicians and religious officials argue that yes, yes he does and the recent catastrophes such as the 9/11 attacks, the global economic recession, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are a form of punishment for losing sight of him)
If someone could answer those questions and still prove God is love then I might finally be able to give some credence to Christianity. I mean real answers not any of the "oh well God doesn't want us to know everything" (of course he doesn't, the bastard put a fucking tree that grew knowledge fruit and then told us we couldn't have any. If we knew everything we wouldn't be so quick to mindlessly follow him) or the "well those that suffer get to heaven so it can't be that bad" because I am not suffering and if I wanted I could go to Heaven, and none of the proclaimed Christians here are suffering like the starving HIV+ people in war torn Africa struggling every day to survive. If we can have good relatively pain free lives and go to heaven why can't everyone?
I see two possible answers to these questions: 1. God doesn't exist. 2. God doesn't love us all equally, in fact he may even hate some of us. |

God will judge you on judgement day for your knowledge of him. You all have heard of him and have been told about the word of God so that doesn't count for you.

I don't look at the starving war torn nations in Africa and say "yup God sure is divine and awesome." I say the exact opposite. If he intended on the world speaking for his glory he should have cleaned house a bit. |
