To anyone who's interested, this is a little snippet of my story:
“You just took what would be known in your world as a drug. It’s just a chemical that when passed into the bloodstream will cause you hallucinations, euphoria, etc. It shouldn’t have any side effects, but it’ll numb your mind enough for us to get you out of here and break it to you slowly tha...” His voice slowly faded away, and I was drifting off. Bright lights surrounded me, floating softly like feathers. Viddi’s face was saturated, a brilliant pink shon off the previously white walls. Suddenly a massive force threw me violently off the hospital bed, sending me crashing face first into the floor. My nose crushed against it, still numb however. I looked up and around myself. Flames were engulfing the hospital room. My bed was overturned in the corner and flaming. The wall and door in which Jidil had left had disappeared, and now was only filled with a bright light. As my eyes adjusted slightly, I saw outside. It was a barren war zone, and although I could make out little, what seemed a vast army was marching towards the building. A blurred and disfigured Viddi came running over, his face covered in dust and scratches. His clothes were torn and ripped, and he held Alpa’s hand tightly. He shouted something in my face, to which I just grinned stupidly. He yanked my up by the scruff of my neck and led me out of the opposite, still intact, door. The three of us ran – sprinted – out into a large hall. As we frantically scrambled across the concrete flooring bullets whizzed past our heads. Soon the door we had past through had been destroyed to, and the army was giving chase. The colors whirled and swirled even more, and all I could do was chuckle to myself.
Viddi jumped and shoulder barged into a green door to outside where a helicopter was parked waiting for us. It was jet black with golden stripes down the side. Viddi clutched Alpa and I, throwing us over his surprisingly muscular shoulders and heroicly chucking us roughly into the open helicopters doors. I landed hard, but it didn't faze me. My face was now covered in blood, pouring from my nose. I grabbed hold of whatever I could – which in this instance happened to be Alpa and held on tight as Viddi shut the door and jumped into the cockpit. The engine, already fired up, took off quickly. He zoomed into the sky with incredible speed. Dodging airfire as he went. It was only now I noticed the enormity of it. I shot to my feet, staring out of the double glazed glass window down at the immense army before me. It went on for as far as the eye could see. Millions of soldiers, all clones, in one great line just moving through. Supported by hundreds of air craft high above us and massive artillery and armoured vehicles below. Then I also noticed the environment. It was wasteland, desert, with no sign of green or blue. But the buildings were so advanced, like something from a movie. This to (the city) expanded to the curved horizons. Just miles of wrecked buildings, conquered by this colossal war machine that was seemingly working it’s way through. It seemed they hadn’t just come for Viddi and his lot, they were just on the move and they got in the way. The helicopted lurched and jumped, speeding ahead of the air craft which were forced for some reason to stay in unison. No reason to follow just the one chopper and waste ammo, they must have been thinking.
Then everything went black.
