Quote:Orphaned Land, Mabool and Sahara, mixng death metal and mid-eastern music, I think Nimrods will enjoy them, they remind me of Opeth at times
They are really good! Their new album The Never Ending Legend OF ORWarriOR is out end of this month and I look forward to it. What I heard was fantastic.
My recommendations (I can go on and on for hours on this subject)
Epica - Design Your Universe, The Divine Conspiracy: For fans of symphonic metal with a progressive touch.
Heaven Shall Burn - Iconoclast, really brutal mix of melodic death metal and hardcore.
Dark Tranquillity - The Gallery, one of the original Gothenburg melodic death metal bands. Contrary to In Flames, they stayed true to their roots.
Finntroll - Jaktens Tid, black metal fused with Finnish polka called humppa.
Korpiklaani, metal with violins and accordeon. They are a really good booze band considering they have songs callec Happy Little Boozer and Beer Beer
Melechesh - Emissaries, black metal with middle-eastern influences. A brutal version of Orphaned Land more or less.
Heavenly - Virus, Dust To Dust, really upbeat, happy power metal. Well, if one band deserves to be called flower metal, they are it. Together with the German warriors of Freedom Call. They're quite similar.
Swashbuckle - Cruise Ship Terror, thrash metal with a pirate theme. They are awesome live.
Sabaton - The Art Of War, heavy power metal with lyrics about modern warfare. These guys have to gift to write te most catchy melodies with ease. If you're into it, check out Ghost Division
Hail Of Bullets - Of Frost And War, A Dutch death metal supergroup with members of Gorefest, Tanathos, Asphyx and Houwitser. Insane stuff! It's brutal, yet kinda catchy.
That's enough for tonight, off to bed!
