Man Rest in Piece to the 19 people that were trampled at the Love Parade. That really sucks. I think 100 were injured as well. People just can't fucking have a good time these days.

We went out yesterday and drank a couple of beers each. His mother found out and now he can't get out of the house for fuck knows how long.
And I'm sure she now thinks I'm trying to take her son to the dark side.
Fuuuuck :(

Dark side? Did you do that on purpose or is the double Star wars thing just a weird coincidence?

The dark side was indeed on purpose, but not the other. I have never watched Star Wars, I didn't know my previous statement was in it haha.
To update the case, his mother said he's allowed to get out of the house, as long as it isn't with me.

That MTV True Life: Polyamorous was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. How the hell can four guys have a sexual relationship and then accept it, live with each other! WTF!

Well, it can be (and has been) argued that we are not neccessarily naturally monogomous beasts, that it is in fact simply something that disgusts us because that is the way society chooses us to see polygamy. After all, plenty of people have affairs and yet still deeply care for their husband/wife at the same time as they are cheating on them with someone else they clearly care for.

Polyamory certainly seems a much more decent way to go about having multiple relationships, there is no lying involved for a start. And traditional polygamy tends to be inherently sexist at patriarchal, ie it's always the males who have many wives and not the other way round, often justified by religious dogma, such as in Islam where the prophet Muhammad had four wives and so all men can (under Sharia law at least) have up to four wives.

I think a ployamorous lifestyle would certainly take some getting used to, you'd have to learn to be a lot less possessive and jealous with loved ones, but I don't really have any problems with it, I take that quintessentially British attitude of "what goes on behind someone elses front door, so long as it hurts nobody, it's not really any of my business".

Cheating is a strange one...as much as it tears families and couples apart all over the shop...I personally dont see anything wrong with it. But then again, I dont see anything at all favourable about marriage. Marital affairs may be a different issue altogether

Well that's a good outlook, I just had never heard of it before so I was shocked and sort of disgusted by it at first. Obviously that would be considered a sin under Christianity, but like the bible says I'm no one to judge. I just personally don't see how it is possible for me to have a relationship with more than one person like that.

What I noticed is that the partners who do it, seem unloved. They hug and kiss more passionately as if they had never been kissed or hugged before. It's really sad. However, they seem to be more spiritually connected which actually can work well for the relationship. I'm going to look more into this. Not that I'm going to do it or anything....

Well, the problem with cheating is the lying, essentially. The idea of having a relationship with more than one person simultaneously isn't exactly wrong at all, the problem with it is the way that they are usuallly done, with deceit and deception, which causes pain to people you supposedly love.

In my opinion, and I am aware that that is vastly different to the view of the majority, I don't think there is a problem with the lying and the sneaking around. The problem is more the finding out by the other person. And yes it causes upset and stuff, I just dont see the issue really

Yes but if people were honest and up front then they'd not get caught.

And oh yeah, you know who else has no problems with lying? That's right man, sociopaths :p

Hahaha, nah I think in this case it's more an example of just keeping things from someone else for everyone's good, as opposed to a sociopathic disregard for everyone.

And yeah, the honesty point is fair enough, but I think for a lot of people, the dishonesty is the fun. I'd also point out at this point that I haven't ever cheated on anyone, I just dont really see the big issue with it

i see it as a massive thing... especially since i have been cheated on in the past... it hurt me a lot, and i couldn't do that to someone i supposedly love...
the two are incompatable i find... if you have the desire to cheat you don't love the person your with anymore / enough so should probably do something about that before hurting them even more and stringing them along.
I hate it when people see me at the supermarket and they are like:
Hey, what are you doing here?
and im just like:
Oh you know, hunting elephants

I think I've cheated on/been cheated on in nearly every relationship I've been in. Probably why I don't believe in them as such anymore.
