I'm from Scotland but my passport says I'm British, but even including Welsh and English groups the vast majority of my favourite bands are foreign anyway. Mostly from Scandinavia or America.
With no playlist in front of me, off the top of my head
Drudkh - Atmospheric black metal from Ukraine Opeth - Swedish death metal Katatonia - Swedish doom metal, but kinda with a 80s goth influence, if that makes sense. Reverend Bizarre - Finnish doom metal Burzum - Norwegian black metal pioneers Life of Agony - US hardcore band Modest Mouse - American indie type thing Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Canadian post-rock Alcest - French post-rock meets black metal
That's just a short selection, stinking to more contemporary groups who are still together. |

Most of the music I listen to is from other countries, I'm american. I don't feel like naming them all because some I won't remember so I'll just name the countries Finland Denmark Norway Sweden The Netherlands Poland Germany France and whichever part of Ireland The Cranberries are from I think they're from the southern portion. |
