Anyone here play Red Dead Redemption online for the PS3? I would really like you to join my little gang if you do. Its called the Blackwater Gun Club. My ideal would be to have a lot of members helping each other level up, get their golden guns, learn the tricks of the trade and such. Basically a bit like a mafia family but nicer. Just finished DeathSpank and have Thongs of Virtue ready to go in a few days. That game is one of the better ones I have played this year, and is definitely the funniest. It makes me really excited to have Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert working at the same studio. I can't wait to see what they do. |

The wiis alright but the motion sensor doesnt work the best and its gets really annoying. They say the ps4 shouldnt come out until at least 2016 so...who knows. |

Yeah, you have to pay to play Xbox games online, but then on the other hand people who play online games are universally douchebags, so I only ever play games with my friends anymore, never with strangers. So I'm not likely to renew my Live subscription come January (or maybe February, I can't remember exactly).
The Wii is frankly not in the competition. I mean there's some fun games out there but the numbers pale in comparison to the other consoles, and the control is just like a crap TV remote. And the machine itself is, aside from the motion gimmick, firmly stuck in the last generation unfortunately. Xbox 360 and PS3 really aren't all that different. Live costs money, sure. But is a better service than the PSN, and there's talk of Sony adding a premium service to the PS3 more like Live. Most of the games I have are available on both systems, but I think that the 360 has slightly better exclusive games than the PS3, assuming you like space marine shooters like Halo and Gears of War. Personally, not really my scene. PS3 does have Heavy Rain which I would like to play for it's interactive story type vibe, and a couple of others like that. But in racing games, PS3 has Gran Turismo, 360 has Forza Motorsport, and frankly that's a push. Apparently the PS3 has the best baseball game, if you are into that.
Honestly, major reason I ended up buying the 360 is just "most of my friends have it so if I want to play with them then I'll get that." Otherwise it's kind of a coin-toss between the two. Do think the Xbox 360 has a better controller than the PS3, personally. Bought one before I even had a 360 to use on PC games and it's just so darn comfortable in your hands. |
