I managed to catch the Time Travelling Comedy, FAQ about Time Travel which was awesome. I really want to see the Scott Pilgrim film because I'm an avid fan of the comics. I've also recently come back to the Scream trilogy.

I was only four when it came out and have only just heard it but having read the synopsis, I can say I am intrigued enough to watch it.

I don't think I was born when Red Dawn came out but I wasn't born when the Godfather came out either. I like watching old films because the styles usually contrast heavily from modern films. Which is funny because modern films try to emulate older films.

thats probably right.... Just look at Avatar! Pocahontis anyone?

anyway, i saw Scott Pilgrim the other day and while i thought they could have easily cut 15 minutes off it, i enjoyed it... Good style, good acting overall and i just like the idea :)

I had the exact opposite problem with Scott Pilgrim. I loved the style, loved the acting (Michael Cera was a better Scott Pilgrim than I expected so even if he wasn't great he still blew my expectations away), but I felt the movie was too cramped. 45 minutes into a 2 hour movie they have only dealt with 2 exes. The other five were cramped into an hour and I thought that they were rushed through to get to the final battle.

Yeah I know. Hamlet was totally a rip off of the Egyptian myth of the murder of Osiris as well. Which by that logic obviously means Hamlet's story is derivative rubbish, right?

not so, but i honestly feel like Avatar let me down, it was predictable, plodded through with the same old same old... And it is a story line thats been done many many many times...

One movie that I would suggest is Numb, not sure if you've seen it but it stars Matthew Perry as a screenwriter who suffers from depersonalization disorder. I first saw it a few months ago, and it was better than I expected.

I'd also suggest Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which is probably one of my favorite movies of the last decade.

Yeah I love both of those films, Numb is incredible and pretty similar to Garden State, Matthew Perry's a legend and Eternal Sunshine well there's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said about that film, amazing.
Awesome suggestions anyone who hasn't seen them should buy them now lol.
