If you are talking about actual, real depression as in clinical depression as opposed to feeling unhappy, then let me just say that you might well know in your head that things aren't all that bad really but that does not help at all. The only person who is preventing you from being happy is you, and that's a damn tough person to convince otherwise. And it's quite literally impossible to understand how it feels until you've been there yourself. But the best thing to do is to see your GP and seek professional help. |

Is going to school, basically killing myself at work, working overtime, coming home everyday alone (personal reason), not having family to say they love you and that they are proud of you and me suffering considered real depression? I'm not trying to be melodramatic, I'm being honest. It's painful what I feel. I mean look at me I'm at 3:34am in the morning, asking TRSG forum for help about me feeling depressed. Is that even freakin normal? I have no one to talk to, or I don't feel comfortable talking to my professors and the counselors at work. Should I really spend money and would it actually work? IDK. asdf wrote:stephaniewazhere wrote:And depression hits again...... I think you should know that there is always something out there as a reason to be happy. Really brighten up my mood to hear that from someone who actually understands me. Appreciate it man.

Ah yeah, I forgot about the American healthcare system. I guess that changes things. The only thing I have to pay for here is a small fee each month for my prescription of anti-depressants, everything else is covered by the NHS. I don't know if I'd have gone for medical help if it would cost money as anti-depressants that aren't subsidised, and psychiatrists, psychologists, all these things can be pretty expensive. But I do know that it's a nearly impossible thing to deal with on your own. |

So I was messing aboot there with my keyboard and I totally wrote a reasonably convincing "minimal" piano piece in B harmonic minor, which is a sequence of about 7 descending chords, then it goes into a slower section with a sequence of partially broken chords and a slow semi-improvised melody on top. Now I just need the money to buy me Pianoteq and record it. Or else find somebody who can play piano, attempt to transcribe it for them, and get them to record it. Hah! |

I've been dumped for girls before. The problem's not in you, it's in the person who can't find the self-clarity of who they are and what they want to be. And alas, the human mind changes a lot anyway.
Just don't beat yourself up too much over it, it's not a totally wacky thing. :) |

What is with these annoying commercials. The "old navy" one with the "Do the gobble" song, with the retarded "professional" dancers dancing. No offence to anyone who shops there, but their clothing is horrible. edit: This one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGHHH I HATE IT!
