I really don't have a problem with Coldplay, I think Don't Panic is one of the better songs of the 2000's.

ah, well glad someone else here likes them. They truly are a pretty good band with meaningful songs. It's just most ppl hate them because they're overrated and/or think they're fake u2 impressionists.

Apologies for the fan-made videos, but it's about the music, right? This is my favourite song of all time, and my song of the moment.

James - "Lullaby"

Bright Eyes - "Padraic My Prince"

PS. I may have to look up more Natalia Kills. Something a little darker for you Stace, just what you needed. (:

Dirty Projectors' Bitte Orca is one of my favorite albums of all time, this is the song that converted me to the rest of the album.

Saw Icebreaker perform this thing live and it was one of the most enjoyable hours of live music I have ever born witness to.

Just devastating when instruments drop in and out later on in the piece.

Without meaning to sound like a twat, I think The Locust is one of the few bands out there making music which as a whole really reflects the modern face of western society. Musically, thematically, lyrically, can't think of many that better speak to the high-on-sugar-substitute-cognitive-dissonance-hundred-thoughts-a-minute-rat-race-urban-decay-o-rama of our age.
