 Austin James Nimmo was born in Gold Coast, East Australia to parents, Kendra and Brad Nimmo on December 21st, 1997. Having a relatively "normal" childhood in the sun-drenched AU, Austin often used to watch his father play guitar and sing for friends and family at parties and backyard barbecues. Seeing how music brought people together, Austin asked for his own guitar and lessons at the age of eight years old. After learning a few chords from his teacher, Austin wrote his first song called "Mom&Dad" which was a loving ode to both his parents who inspired him to be an achieving young man. He often sang this song at family functions. Many of his family members knew he was meant to make it big time. As Austin grew up into a young man, he began to take place in school talent shows where he would often sing his own songs and play the guitar and was a very vital part of his elementary and middle school chorus team.
Austin's parents continued to be very supportive of his dream and encouraged him to keep singing and practicing his guitar. By age 15, he began posting YouTube videos of himself performing covers of songs by artists who inspired him, These singers include virtually every pop artist top 20 artists but most notably he covered hits made my Isabel, Weekend, Kato, Nadia Berry, and Katie Coyle . With his early views spawning only about 200 views or less, but as word got out about his teenage good looks and great singing voice, those numbers soon doubled and tripled and with his subscribers shooting through the roof, he soon had over a million views for a few videos that he posted, and hundreds of thousands on others. To this day, after covering Weekend's "Out Of My Mind" he reached more than 2,202,000 views. His highest amount of viewers on one video. Search for Austin on YouTube and there he is: An appealing blonde 15-year-old accompanying himself on guitar while knocking out stellar covers of different records. Austin's YouTube Channel, which has been active since August 2010, now boasts nearly 80 million views and has more than 7 million subscribers as of 2015.
In 2013, Austin received a message through his YouTube Channel from songwriter and producer Rami Yacoub (Britney Spears, One Direction, Nicki Minaj) expressing interest in meeting him. Austin and his father flew to the Sweden to meet Yacoub and write and record some tracks. In September 2013, Austin independently released releasing his irresistible rhythmic pop single "Adore You" which reached a very impressive #3 on The Airplay Charts and the top 10 of the Digital Charts. Since then, Austin has been working on his debut album with a new single coming out in October of 2013.
Since 2013, Austin Nimmo has become one of the most sought after pop singers in the world.
