"Great. Fantastic. Thank you," Vara says back, starting to tear up. Mariko was her best friend and she had never yelled at her before like this. She turns around and goes back outside, taking swigs from the whisky bottle as she goes outside. She starts quietly crying when she gets outside, taking her place on the ground again by the wall of the house.

Nova just sighs. She wasn't sure if Vara wanted to talk or if Mariko needed some comfort. All she knew was that they were falling apart and it hadn't even been a day yet. How were they gonna last until Wednesday? She walked back outside to where Vara was and sat back down beside her. "I'm sorry." She wasn't sure why she was apologizing but she felt like it needed to be said. |
