Happened a case on Brazil last year that a girl killed her mother because she didn't let her go to a concert. It wasn't even a good concert :( |

I live in Miami, Florida and crazy crimes always happen down here. Just this past weekend they found a guy in pieces in various garbage bags across different beaches of the city. Of course they haven't found whoever has done it. |

Just remembered another one that made me sick. A 9 years old girl was raped by her stepfather and got pregnant (yes, with 9 years old) of twins. The brazilian law allows abortion in cases of rape and when the mother's life is at risk (the girl could die and take her 2 kids with her due to the pregnancy). As it was a small town, the local church had a huge influence over people and it became a polemic topic here because the priest didn't allow her to do the abortion. In the end, the girl finally got the abortion and the church excommunicated the girl, her mother and the doctors. And the priest had the audacity to say it was the girl's fault that she was raped "because these girls use such provocative clothes nowadays." |

Victoria's really being scarred by all the swine flu, weather problems, bush fires and Indian bashings. Melbourne used to be the world's most livable city, for God's sake! |

At Queens Day, some lunatic decided he was sick of life and used his car to rush straight into the crowd waiting for the queen. He missed the Royal Bus en collided with a statue 20 meters away from it. 7 people dies, including the driver. And if that wasn't enough, there have been 2 family murders in the last 2 weeks. |

They found a body last week in Dennistoun. Also, this is the Murder Capital of Europe. Sectarian violence, the hilarious version of Scottish organised crime, street gangs, kidnappers and rapists... We've got all the usual stuff. |

Around me, there has been a resurgence of heroin and cocaine use, particularly among high school age children, and ironically in the more wealthier suburbs. As a whole, though, I've noticed violent crime to be WAY down, and other petty felonies and misdemeanors to be down as well. (I live in the New York City area) |
