It's crazy she died, especially at the age of 63. She had an amazing voice.

Also she may not be considered as 'famous' but RIP also to Sophia Brown who was a contestant on Big Brother UK. I always remember her as she was so small and cute.

Around 5 or 6 years ago, I was introduced to Newgrounds and Flash Cartoons through the work of Eddsworld: (http://eddsworld.newgrounds.com/) 4 British (I believe) teens whose flash animations slowly got better and better as I grew up watching them, it was totally stellar.

Well, I just found out today that Edd, the key animator and MC of their shorts lost a battle with Leukaemia on March 25th. He might not be too famous off the net, he might not have even revolutionized the flash community but he was always a key contributor, front-pager and frequent mainstay over at the biggest flash playground known as Newgrounds. So yeah,

R.I.P. Edd, think you deserve after cartoons that made me laugh from 12 to 17.

Miki Roque has sadly passed away at just 23.

I remember him, used to play for Liverpool and signed him numerous times in FM. Tragic death, died after a long battle against cancer. RIP.

In the last 24, Bill Doss has died. Best known has a big contributor for the Elephant Six collective and front-man for the Olivia Tremor Control. He was a big inspiration to me and a whole generation of bands and listeners, so party on Bill. Party on.

I recommend listening to this song 3 times. Once with both headphones, then once with only one headphone, and again with the opposite headphone.

Anyone reckon Amanda Bynes will be on this list within a year? She's 26 now, and 27 does seem to be a popular age. Given that she crashes her car weekly and smokes crack while driving only add to the probability I reckon.

One doesn't often like to speak ill of the dead, but racist sexist and part time astronomer Patrick Moore died today. Cheerio mate.

Patrick Moore was a great man . Yeah so he was a cantankerous old xenophobe, but hey, my Gran is kind of a racist too. Doesn't mean when she dies I'll be like "Good riddance you old racist." My point being that being an old man with severely outdated views doesn't invalidate your achievements and the work you do in your life in such a way that you can dismiss his entire career by giving "racist" "sexist" and "part time astronomer" the same weight.

He was the longest serving presenter of a television programme in history, a programme that was informative, educational and entertaining. That's an impressive legacy. But oh no, apparently he should be remembered for occasionally expressing his old fashioned right-wing personal opinions. Fuck that.

He was also the Gamesmaster, & lets not forget that. Because it was great when you were a kid.

That said, I don't think being dead should protect you from all the lousy shit you did & said during life. Patrick Moore was inspirational when it came to talking about astronomy, & a horrible old man when it came to many other things. I don't really buy "oh, he's old, he's allowed to be racist". Though I am amused that he actually used to phrase "it was Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden, not Adam & Steve", if only because I was sure that was made up by people like me to mock homophobes, & not actually said with a straight face.

All that said, he'll always be a guy who inspired me when I was younger about the beauty of the heavens first & foremost.
