I'm not too worried, that's merely the tip of the iceberg compared to some of the goings on whilst on tour with Failed Youth. Look forward to the tour, not long now!

An extract from BBC News...

"...The rock musician, know to his fans as Jakey Comatose, appeared in court this morning. However, his court case was over in under an hour, as Jakey pleaded guilty to both Drunk and Disorderly Conduct and Possession Of a Class A Substance. Due to his record being previously clean, Jakey was sentenced to 5 days in jail and a £10,000 fine. He was escorted out of the court room and into a secure police vehicle at approximately 10:51 AM..."

A statement from Jakey's legal representation is expected to come in the near future.

Jakey Comatose releases new single, 'All Politics'


Jakey Comatose's second single from the album Negative (due out next month) is released tomorrow. It is his first release on the Comatose label, which he runs with friend and fellow musician Regan Futrell. The single, titled All Politics, had been announced to come out tomorrow, however as Jakey is currently serving jail time for offenses committed in late 2009, many thought that the release had been cancelled. Word from Jakey's representatives at Comatose came yesterday morning that the single would be released. They also released a short description of the track that Jakey had made before his sentencing:

"So, my next single is out really soon. It's called All Politics and I guess it's a protest song of sorts. I didn't want to make the mistake of making the whole album political as so many musicians do, so this is the track where I get all of that shit out of the way haha. It's an in your face grunge/punk song, and it's definitely punchier than what I'm used to writing. No fancy instrumentation, just an all round rock track! Also on the single is the first track from my album, called "Child" and a remix of a song from my last album. This will be the last release before the album's out!"

In other news, Jakey is due to leave jail tomorrow morning having completed his 5 day sentence and paid a £10,000 fine. He's expected to speak about his time in jail and the new single and album on this website in the next few days so check this space!

Jakey Comatose is now officially out of jail.

He took the time this morning to answer a few questions from reporters waiting outside.

In response to a reporter asking how he coped he replied,
"Alright, I guess. There was the odd occasion where I felt really panicked, but it's only five days! A year or something, then that'd be shit. I did actually enjoy it every now and then, for the experience you know, but I wouldn't recommend it for a second. I'm not preaching. Just... don't get fucking caught."

When asked how he was treated, he responded:
"You might think that jail's less fun if you look like me. But you know, being feminine has it's perks. The lifers will do pretty much anything for you, just don't drop the soap, haha. I did get called out a few times, but it's pretty under control actually. It's not, like, as glamourous as it's made out to be in films. Pretty boys get on just fine."

Before getting into a helicopter and leaving the area he also answered a reporter who asked about his family life:
"It's true that Raven didn't come to visit me, which sucks I guess. But it's understandable for her to be disappointed or to not want to see me there. I'll be seeing her now, if you reporters stop mugging me haha. It's good to know people care about the press, but not my music..."

He then boarded the helicopter, muttering something about "the new fucking Doherty".

It's good to see that jail hasn't made Jakey drop his dry sense of humour.
