It's been awhile.

Yes indeed it has been awhile. We are still on tour. But we haven't updated everyone in a while and if you didn't know Mark Locus has left the band to drum for Alex Sin live and so has Will Dawn and Donnavon Rich. It's okay. We have new members! We are now a trio though but here is our new line-up:

Paul Reeves - Vocals, Growl, Guitars
Logan Spills - Back Up Vocals, Keyboard, Bassist
Frank Albern - Drums

Frank Albern is a talented drummer. He is from a band called "Exogenesis" which was from New York. They were influenced by Casting Thin Shadows and what do you know? Fear. So he knows how Logan and I get down. I like the band like this more. No hassle and just 3 dudes making incredible music. Also like to note we are almost done recording the new album, more news on that later. Just thought I'd update everyone on what we are doing.

Love,
Paul.

Will and Donnavon have rejoined the band and have been involved with the album. Mark really did leave. One big miss whole understanding. That's why recording of this album took so long. Oh, did I just use past tense? That's right. Recording of the album is done and is being mixed while we speak. So what is the title? Well so far it has stayed to The Waiting Room Are Dead.

I know many of you will be upset. But we have pushed the single back until next week on October 22nd. This time for real. Also the album title will NOT be The Waiting Room is Dead. We will unviel that shortly. Thanks, and once again we apologize.
Love,
Paul and the gang.

Finally have a title. "Define Gravity" will be released on November 3rd. The first single will be "Floating". We are sorry it took this long. Look for improvements on the front page site soon as well. Artwork will be up sometime soon. We finally actually finished mixing the album just last week. Be on the look out for more news.

Love,
Paul

A Message From Paul Reeves:
"I thank each and everyone who listens to this record and reads this. I wasn't sure if this band would make another record because I thought my old band Fear was going to reunite but Alex Sin has once again disappeared from the world. Last time I talked to him other then two months ago talking about reuniting was when we were out on our House Of Leaves tour. It was like after that no one heard from him. So I just thought I would let each and every true fan to The Waiting Room who was a fan of Fear know the real reason why we will probally never get back together. It is because of Alex Sin. I've been meaning to let the world know but I think now is the time. The track 'Between The End and Where We Lie' is indeed to him. So where ever you are at friend that song goes out to you."

A Message from the band:

Quote:
We just want to inform everyone about how excited and honor we are from having a first good week on the charts. It might not have been number 1 but it came close to it and it just shocks me. For sometime we all felt that if we don't push ourselves we are gonna make a shitty record to the fans and that no one was going to hear it. This album defines each and everyone of us individualy. We hope we can keep up with the success and won't let it get to our heads. Also the next single will be Weightless. More details on that later though. Catch us on The Prisoners final tour!

Love,
-TWR

We are so pleased that 'Define Gravity' has been nominated for Best Album. I was going through a really dark time when writing most of this album. I'm so pleased that everyone has enjoyed it. Rather you understand what we were doing on this album or you don't, I am still stoked that we have been nominated for Best Album. We won't be performing at the Birdies but we will be at Midwinter Mashfest hopefully. Also we want to thank John Smith so much for giving us a push and making this band what it is. Everyone who thought this band wasn't going to make it because my solo records won't as successful as Alex Sins your wrong! Also we'd like to announce the next single will be the song 'Weightless'. This song will be released on November 5th. Tracklisting and artwork coming soon! Also we are starting writing new songs earlier this time so it won't be so long on making an album. We like to be the type of band who tours and release new music and take NO breaks. Long as we are making great music and staying true. If we aren't staying true we will then take a hiatus. Hopefully that won't happen.

Love,
-Paul Reeves

Our second single "Weightless" has been released. We wanted to release this early. I feel this is one of the best songs I've ever written. We hopefully plan to release two more singles since 'Define Gravity' has been getting a positive reception. The single tracklisting is this:
01. Weightless
02. Weightless(Acoustic)
03. Define Gravity

We won't be performing at the Birdies but you can sure believe we will be in the audience! This is like the first time going for me. All the other times I played Fear only got nominated every now and then for either Best Band, Best International Band, or Best Live Act. We did win Best Album once or twice but other then that I never really got to enjoy it until now. So things are just looking great lately.

Buy the single here.

Love,
-Paul

11-11-09: The third single from the album "Define Gravity" has been released. That single is the closing track "Chokehold". It contains a demo of a new song titled "Letting Go". Also features a B-Side from the album titled "i.d.". The band are enjoying great success and a matter of fact the band have recently started demoing new songs for the next record. Paul Reeves hopes to go into a very "raw and dark" type of sound for the band. The album recently has gone platinum. Paul Reeves said he hopes to release a live e.p soon as well as a live album.

12-22-09: Our bad on not updating anyone in a while. Been constantly straight busy since this record came out. Well we didn't have time to update anyone on the site but we've released the following as singles:
"Two Weeks(Without A Sign Of You)
Letting Go
And now we have released the last single as an E.P. called "Earthquakes and Hurricanes".

Tracklist:
01. Earthquakes and Hurricanes
02. Song For Robert
03. Honolulu(Never Coming Home)

The Grey Album is close to 3 million records sold. We've been writing for the next album. So far it sounds like we're going into a more futuristic sound. It's going to deal with alot of issues for sure. I hope we can break down some barriers and shit. It'll be cool to see how it turns out.

Love,
-Paul

01-06-10: Alright I'm not going to be up here to long so here is some updates.

1st:
We are now unsigned. That's right. Our label is closing down unless it is bought so all the bands signed are now unsigned. We're not really worried to much about looking for a label now since we haven't finished writing our new album so we will worried about that later.

2nd:
We are so sad to announce that Will Dawn and Frank Albern are no longer part of the band. We wish them best of luck with their careers and Frank left to spend time with family, Will left to focus on In The Arms Of Sleep new album. Donnavon was offered for In The Arms Of Sleep but he declined. And in fact Donnavon has now switched to drums and Logan is now on bass. We will hire some touring musicians to fill in the spots such as keyboard and second guitarist.

3rd:
We are almost done writing our fourth album. We're aiming for a album that is darked, ahead of it's time, and very melodic. I think we are achieving that so far. It most likely won't be released until either next month or March. We're trying to put together a live album right now.

We will have more news later.

Love,
-PR

Everyone's losing their labels! I say that us old, independent artists should group together and make a new record label! Screw those new labels!

01-13-10: So we now have a tracklisting for our first live album(Taken from Midwinter Mashfest):

Hallucinations: The Waiting Room Live!
01. (This Is) The Last Call
02. Hospital Beds
03. I Am The Arsonist
04. Letting Go
05. Everchanging Glasshouse
06. Song For Robert/Two Weeks(Without A Sign Of You)
07. Chokehold
08. Lake Gaston
09. Earthquakes & Hurricanes
10. Travel-East

We want to thank everyone who came out to that show so much! It was one of our best performances I think we've done.

Also have a new presss picture and we have settled on our album title.

UserPostedImage
From Left-To-Right: Donnavon, Logan, Paul

Our album title will be called "Machines". It will be out at the end of next month. It will be our heaviest, most melodic, most futuristic album we've done. I mean it's still experimental and indie rock but it draws influences from shoe-gaze and a little of some industrial music.

We also want to thank everyone who supported "The Grey Album" as it is sold out of copies as of yesterday. It sold over 3 million records and we are still kicking it. Making music with this new band is incredible nothing is holding us back. No names to be mentioned.

Love,

01-18-10: Alright so we're in the studio with John Smith and it's magical in here. This music we're putting out is beyond what is out there right now. It's very industrial but it's still us. We got this one song that will be the first single and it will defintely be a successful hit if we play our cards right. So far it looks like that song will be the first single as well. We are taking our time. This album is going to be killer indeed. I'll announce it already. The song title of the song that might now MIGHT be the first single is called "The Only Way(Is The Wrong Way)" their is also a song called "Black Angel" that sounds good and really good acoustic. Also if you rmember the song "i.d." that was a B-Side on the "Chokehold" single is also on the album but reworked and renamed to "No i.d.". Album is really influenced on how our society is falling apart everyday, the recession we're in, 2012, how really we're fucking ourselves over and forcing ourselves to extinct. That's what inspired me the most on this record as well as Logan and Donnavon. Forgot to also mention we just got done recording tracks with the New York Orchestra Band for some tracks on the album.

Alright I'm truely sorry for this. But the live album has been put on hold. In fact we plan to record some shows on our next tour so it'll probally be pushed back until we finish touring for our new album when we do and released sometime around then. As for now expect "Machines" to be coming quicker then expected. We are in my home town also. Big ole New York! Can't wait for all of you to hear this. Also we stayed with our label its under new management now and everything got straighten out.

More news later!

01-28-10: Album is began mixing today. We already have the tracklist and album cover. We've been working really hard on this record and we will tell everyone what the first single is tomorrow at midnight. This album was produced by us and John Smith. Smith actually put some guitar work down and some vocals on a few songs. The artwork was done by our good pal Jakey Comatose. Also like to thank the New York Orchestra Band for playing on a few tracks as well. Here is the tracklist and artwork to "Machines".

01. Atlas
02. No i.d.
03. Morphine(For The Heart)
04. Line Drawn Separate
05. Sleeping Pills
06. The Only Way(Is The Wrong Way)
07. Angel Of Innocence
08. Miles Away(Under The Sun)
