Valerie smiles even wider, this time with the added effect of her blushing. "Thank you," she says softly, looking away again, back over to the pool, watching the water. "I think some other company is running Starfactory this year than in previous years, because I feel like there's a lot of things different this time around." Valerie wasn't sure if this change in Starfactory was a good thing or a bad thing, but she was in it, so she might as well make the most of it. "I'm afraid that they'd try to make me into a Suzie," Valerie admits when Joshua talks about how they always try to make pop guys into the next Bieber. She relaxes into her chair, happy for the time that she's getting to spend with Joshua when he asks her what got her into music. "My brothers," she answers back immediately, and then shakes her head. "Well, really, it was more my mom... I'm really close with my brothers, and when they went away to college, my mom was super afraid that it would make me really depressed that they weren't around anymore, so she started teaching me how to play piano... From there, I guess I just kind of picked it up." She shrugs. "I feel like a real music poser sometimes, because there's always those people who are like, 'I've known I wanted to be a musician since I was six years old!' and I'm like, 'I just learned how to play the piano a couple years ago...'" She laughs a little at herself. "But whatever. What about you?"

Valerie covers her face at the risk of her blushing even more. "You're too sweet to me, Joshua," she says through her hands, giggling a little bit. "You're going to turn my face as red as my hair." She puts down her hands when she feels that she's sufficiently calmed herself down, but immediately blushes a little again when he calls her naturally beautiful. "Oh, you just like to make me bashful..." But he was right, she could never be like Suzie. Talent and looks aside, she definitely didn't have the self confidence that Suzie had to sell her sex. She laughs loudly when he talks about wanting to be a rocket ship, having to calm down when she remembers that she's outside of a hotel and it's night time. "You're too funny, Joshua. But yeah, that makes sense. I knew there had to be a reason why you came from such a talented family." She smiles as she thinks about last season of Starfactory. "Man, last season was weird. That's probably why a new company is running it this time."

"Sorry..." Valerie squeaks out when Joshua shushes her, still giggling a little bit. "Well, I think you make a mighty fine musician... although I'm sure you would have made just as good a rocket ship, had the powers that be let you explore that option." She winks at him and smiles. "Oh, yeah, don't get me wrong, I loved watching last season, but it was kind of psycho." She finishes her cigarette and puts it out in the ash tray, looking around. "Do you want to go back to my room...?" she asks softly.

Valerie smiles and stands up with Joshua as they head back inside and back up to Valerie's room. Although they had been dating for a little bit now, they still hadn't slept in each other's room before, which was fine with Valerie at first, but now as she was getting closer to Joshua, she was wanting it more and more. When they get back to her hotel room, she opens the door and steps in, holding the door open for Joshua. "I'm really glad you came over tonight."

"You're very welcome," Valerie responds, closing the door behind Joshua and taking off her own shoes as well, lining them up with his. She quivers a bit at his kiss, as she always did when they kissed. It was still so special to her. "Oh, yeah, sure," she says as she gets into bed next to him, laying her head on his shoulder. "What'd you want to watch? Is there anything good on?"

"Oooh, yay!" Valerie says, giving a little cheer when they decide to watch CSI. She loved crime shows. "That sounds like I'm cheering for murder - I'm not. I'm cheering for solving murders." She moves closer to Joshua, wrapping her arms around his torso when he kisses the top of her head. Valerie's shocked when Joshua asks to stay over, but of course says, "Yeah, definitely." It was exactly what she wanted.

Valerie laughs. "That makes me sound like a horrible person. I don't enjoy murders. I enjoy... law enforcement solving murders. Totally different." She laughs again, now having the ability to be as loud as she wants because they're in her room. "Yeah, of course. Any time you want to come over, my door is open... Well, maybe not literally, but I can open it for you any time." She giggles. She kisses his shoulder lightly.

"Aw, you caught me. I'm definitely a murderer," Valerie says, putting her hands in the air jokingly. She settles back into leaning against Joshua and giggles. "Hey, I said that my door was always open to you. I never said that the person on the other side of the door was going to be especially happy that you woke them up," she counters with a grin. "Oh! No, go ahead." Valerie leans away from him so that he can take off his shirt. She looks away out of instinct, and then remembers that this guy is her boyfriend and that she can look all she wants. That thought alone makes her grin stupidly.

"Another pro of being short and redheaded - people never think you've done anything wrong. Or if they do, they're too scared to call you on it, thinking that the hair is a sign of a bad temper." Valerie giggles. She blushes quickly again when Joshua points out her turning away from him. "Oh, sorry..." she says, giggling a little bit and turning back. He did have a nice body. She had always found him attractive, but much more so now. She rests herself against him again, enjoying feeling herself again his warm body. She watches TV for a little bit with him before letting out a little yawn. "Excuse me! I'm sorry, I guess I'm a little tired."

Valerie laughs, shaking her head. "Nope, actually, I'm afraid that myth is very true. Gingers have absolutely no soul at all. Sorry." She winks, giggling again. She hesitates for a moment and then nods when he asks if she wants to get under the covers. "You don't mind if I change into something to sleep in, do you?" she asks, looking down at her jeans, which she was sure probably wouldn't be that comfortable under the blankets.
