To be honest, that's the only thing men need. Ah, it's true. Even the ones who are caring and considerate are like this, and I consider myself a calmer one and fit this quality to some degree. |

The three things that men want are related to women. They must...
1. Make him a sandwich 2. Fetch him opened beer can/bottle 3. Shut the hell up when the football is on.
Now this is for other men...not me personally because if I tried that with my wife, she'd come at me with her handbag. It has a big brick in the bottom.

I have no idea what guys or girls want. I try to be a nice guy, but I lack self-confidence. I'm way too passive as well. My thought process goes "okay, well, she OBVIOUSLY must have a boyfriend, so I'm not even going to try..." It's all a mystery to me. |

I'm the total opposite, way too active and needy. I ask every Tom, Dick and Harry who could be a plausible partner, and have a long string of "relationships" behind me which go about as far as Facebook status changes. I have no idea about basic gender stereotypes of either side, just hope that the sandwich thing is a lie created by breadmakers and supermarkets everywhere to make women buy their products. |

Sometimes wish there were a way bypass all the awkwardness, but I don't really know how people see me as a person, let alone how girls see me. Physically I'm nothing to write home about, but as a person, I've no idea. I know what I look for, but I don't know what other people do, or if I'm entitled to look for certain qualities even though I'm probably lacking them myself. |

As if most of the world was born having memorised a book of the blatantly obvious rules of society, I missed out on that. I'm not a total social deviant, but there's always that niggling feeling in the back (or, depending on the situation, at the forefront) of my mind, is there something that everyone here knows but me? |

Amen. Or, what if everyone's like that? Is that worse? Hmm, interesting way of thinking. I was always told that I didn't understand these "unwritten rules" because I have Asperger's, but then, I've never been in a "neurotypical" brain, so I wouldn't know. Maybe, at least about some tougher things such as relationships, we're all neurotypical - as confused as each other. |
