Rocci: Today's guest is very special. She is dearly loved by many, she's sold over 200 million records, she's a three time Birdie award winner, Chaos award winner, she's also making her film debut this fall, if you don't know who we're talking about you should be slapped, please welcome to the 106 & Park stage. STEPHANIE FIERCE!
*audience applause*
Rocci: Hi Stephanie. May I call you that of do you prefer Ms. Fierce? (smiles)
Stephanie Fierce: Well hello Rocci, It's such a bliss to be here! You know, you can call me whatever. As long as you don't call me a Tisha Jackson. (sips tea)
Rocci: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh! Burn. Well, glad to have you on the show with us and may I say you are looking fabulous as ever.
Stephanie Fierce: (smiles warmly) Thank you, I must say you're looking pretty dashing yourself my dear.
Rocci: You've been on the move lately, so lets catch everyone up on what you've been doing if they don't already know. For starters, your latest single, “Life's Good” featuring Ryan Ross Hernandez, debuted at #3 on the Airplay Chart and has been staying in the top 5 ever since then. The single even peaked in at #1 the week before last. How did you feel when you heard the news?
Stephanie Fierce: I can honestly say I was fairly shocked. The song is an aggressive rap song, so for it to be the first rap song to reach to the top of the airplay charts is like F*CK (bleeped), It was an amazing achievement for me though. I'm known for not sampling other people's music, but I was finally open to the idea. But of course, I made sure that if I was going to sample a song, I was going to sample of one of the greatest sounding songs of all time. Something that really combines well with the rhythm of the words and the energy and spirit. Which is what "War" has, the instrumentation and attitude just hits your soul in such a orgasmic sort of way. But I like the contrast between the message of that song and the message of my song, there is no point of war, however I have my defenses put up, just in case. Life's Good is more about showing that no matter what, I'm still able to reach my goals, I'ms till standing and I'm unstopabble in a sensible sort of way. So I knew that would inspire people to sing along, because there are many people out there trying to bring you down and you have to put your foot down and just say it, Life's Good and you can't stop me. But as I was saying, I was also sort of shocked because the single won't be promoted visually until like the middle of February in terms of a music video treatment. But my fans are always supporting me and that's why I can honestly say that I'm blessed and lucky to have the fans that I have. I love you guys (blows kiss)
*Audience applauds*
Rocci: A few days ago, you recently promoted “The Stephanie Fierce Music Store” on your website. You went on to say that all proceeds would be donated to the Children's Leukemia Foundation. Now there are tons of foundations out there, what made you decide to chose this one?
Stephanie Fierce: I chose the Children's Leukemia Foundation because I recently right before Chritmas made a visit to one of the children's unit in New York. And I can honestly say it is one of the most heartbreaking experience and I just want to help. Aside from the music store, which has already been successful in raising money, I'm using my own money as well and I'm trying to find many outlets to raise more money that will go directly to the children for other personal use. Some of these children have dreams and goals and If I can help make any of those dreams and goals happen, then I will help the best way possible.
(Audience cheers while Steph nods in appreciation)
Rocci: You are certainly giving everyone a run for their money because I'm still not done with all you've been doing lately. (laughs) About a week ago you announced that you needed opening acts for your upcoming would tour, “Queen of Pop Era.” Days later you announced that Julia Volkova, Hunter McBride, and Mr. Luna will be opening up the tour. How exciting is that and are you happy with these choices?
Stephanie Fierce: Thank you, thank you so much! (giggles and smiles). This tour is going to be insane. It's a 37 song set list, so my fans are in for a treat. It's more of a pop show, but it has a festival of genres sort of feel. It's very intimate and I honestly want to go all out. All of these acts are amazingly talented and I'm definitively happy yo have them come along, I think it will help them grow and become even better performers and I want to be involved and intimate with them as much as possible.
Rocci: If any, who would you have loved to go on the tour with you?
Stephanie Fierce: I would F*CKING (bleeped) love to go on tour with Bjork. She's f*cking (bleeped) amazing. I would die and all my organs will squeeze out of my body if that were to happen. I would do anything to go on tour with that crazy bitch.
Rocci: Is there any new information you can tell us regarding any new acts or other information that has yet to be announced?
Stephanie Fierce: There is one act I haven't announced just yet, but I will very soon on my website. One thing about the tour that I haven't unveiled just yet, is that it will be filmed for DVD release. So that's exciting!
Rocci: So tell us about this new EP you've got coming up called “Horny for Pop”.
Stephanie Fierce: Horny for Pop is going to be a collection of pop oriented songs that I recorded. It's a good spin on my experimental pop music, It's going to be released in May now, I'm still working on some of the song. But more information will be unveiled as time gets closer. The lead single will be titled "Madonna" and that will be insane. I'm speaking with some people (winks).
Terrance: Its that time again where we'd like to get into our newly added feature to the show. You have a choice of playing “Would You Rather” or “Today’s Musical Trivia”. Which do you pick?
Stephanie Fierce: Imma have to go with "Would You Rather" (smiles while the audience cheers her on)
Terrance: Great. The object of the game is to pick the choice you want but to make things interesting every question we don't get to, you have to reveal something people don't know. Sound good to you?
Stephanie Fierce: Oh how great! (laughs) All right, lets do this!
Terrance: Awesome lets get started. You have 25 seconds to answer 10 questions. The time starts now. Would you rather win a million dollars in lottery or never have to pay for anything, ever?
Stephanie Fierce: Never have to pay for anything. That sounds good to me! You know what it is to go to a sex shop, and not have to pay for anything. Hell yes!
Rocci: Be invisible or be able to read minds?
Stephanie Fierce: Read minds. I want to read Erich's mind so freaking bad sometimes. (winks at the camera; directed toward's Erich)
Terrance: Publish your diary or make a movie on your most embarrassing moment?
Stephanie Fierce: I kind of have done both already (laughs) But if I had to pick one, I would say make a movie on my most embarrassing moment. That sh*t (bleeped) sounds like fun.
Terrance: Become a popular celebrity whom everyone loves or hates?
Stephanie Fierce: Let's spread the love baby. I'm gonna say a celebrity whom everyone loves. I don't want people throwing flower bases on me.
Terrance: Red or Blonde?
Stephanie Fierce: I feel like I'm gonna get in trouble if I answer this question, but Imma have to say blonde. Some people look really horrible as a red head. Especially when they are not a natural red head. I think ya'll know who I'm talking about (sips tea again)
Terrance: That was shade with a glass of lemon ice tea (laughs) Ok........Muse or Radiohead?
Stephanie fierce: (laughs) Errr...Radiohead duh!
Terrance: Fly all over the world or be marooned on an island with the one you love?
Stephanie Fierce: I kind of already travel around the world (laughs). Sh*t, I've toured in caves and pyramids for crying out loud. So be marooned on an island with the one I love. That would be sweet.
Terrance: South Park or Family Guy?
Stephanie Fierce: Oh f*Ck(bleeped), that's a hard one. Imma have to go with Family Guy. Family Guy is the sh*t (bleeped).
Terrance: *Buzzer* Times up. You had three questions remaining which means now you must reveal three secrets we don't know about you.
(Stephanie Fierce laughs, almost wishing that didn't have to happen)
Stephanie Fierce: F*ck (Bleeped)!
The first secret will have to be that I had a huge crush on Robert Edwards from Reported Failure. SHhhhhhhh.... really hope he's not watching this show right now.
The second secret is that I have a d*ck (Bleeped). A big black c*ck (bleeped)!
Then third secret is that I work for the Illuminati. Yes. Satan has good music taste.
Terrance: Thanks for playing, you were wonderful (kisses Steph's hand while trying not to laugh).
Rocci: We have two more questions left. The first one comes from Amber from Queens, New York. She writes, “Hi Stephanie, what advice would you give upcoming musicians who are trying to get to where you are someday in the music industry?”
Stephanie Fierce: Work hard. If you haven't joined like a music oriented group or class in your school, do so right away. Learn all you can about music, love it, throw yourself outthere. Work hard. Keep singing and practicing your instrument everyday. Work hard (everyone in the audience laughs). Visit some record labels and book events and festivals that are sponsored by record label companies. Don't be shy. Work hard. (audience laughs) One more thing......work hard.
Rocci: That was beautiful. Our last question comes from an audience member.
Audience member: Hi Stephanie Fierce. I'm a huge fan and I really love you and I can't believe I'm starring at you right now! My question is “When is Diary of a Pop Sinner releasing?”
Stephanie Fierce: Awww. Well thank you and I really love your shirt by the way (smiles and winks). That's a really good question. It is as of now set to be released in the Fall. I am looking towards a November 16 release but things could possibly change, we are in the post-production phase of the film. So things at this point aren't set in concrete, but I will definitly keep you posted. It will be released this year that's for sure though.
Rocci: Thank you both for the questions and thank you Stephanie for stopping by. Now Stephanie Fierce, we're gonna ask a a favor from you. May you perform for us?
Stephanie Fierce waves at the camera blowing a kiss to all of them ignoring her and her question, then heads to the audience to sign autographs.
