Johnny talks about his warm up album he did for kicks, getting back on the road, and future projects!I'd been sitting around with Roxy a lot and fell into a bit of a creative stump. One night I was sitting on the back porch having a puff on a joint listening to my pandora radio. When suddenly my stoned brain was laid upon with some genius! A little folk tune by Shel Silverstein and I had no damned idea he wrote half the shit he did. I love his poetry of course. There's a copy of "A Light In The Attic" among my collection of books. The man wrote A Boy Named Sue, I about shit a brick when I learned that. So after a few more tokes and a bit of research I was able to put together a little warm up tribute album to get myself back in the swing of things. You know making music and all that good stuff. So you're gonna get a nice little happy album that was made with a lot of love and a good it of a weed for a under appreciated genius.

Anyway as far as my other projects go. I want to get the band I started with Erich Hess back together. We got to must chemistry not to work together. We're like rats fucking in a wool sock. Hot, sweaty, and making a screeching fucking racket. I hope to join him for No Venues to get my chops back in order on the stage.
Any future record plans will probably done with Brandon Caulfield in mind. I've always wanted to record with the guy. He's the one musician out there I have a deep respect for. So I want to get together with him and do a collaboration. Not sure what the details of the album will be but I know it will be stellar with him on the album. I think we have a nice working chemistry together even though we've only played once together. Some people you just click with.
The last big thing on my list is I'm planning a big Labor Day Jam and humungous charity cookout. One day festival whoever wants to come can do so. I want to put a big stage and invite fans as well as musicians alike. Give the money to some labor organizations and some after school charities. It's something myself and Hen have been working on for a while. So it's a one baby project that I want to see work. So yeah, Mr Daniels is still alive contrary to popular belief and so am I. You'll see more of me as the weeks go by. I just couldn't sit around and sit on my ass any more.
