Belly dancing isn't intensive enough to hinder her ability to sing live.. |

Like I said it doesn't matter, she doesn't have to sing live her sexyness makes up for it, belly dancing (don't you see her fucking belly) does get in the way because you are moving your belly. Especially this fast paced song. I'm pretty sure if Madonna tried this it would sound like noise. And we know she can sing, we need to see this side from Shakira.

Yeah I admit she can sing, in-studio not live. I mean I'm okay if she had at least sang and have the song playing in the background for like the chorus but she didn't even attempt that on America's Got Talent. That's why I'm not a huge pop fan because yeah most of them can dance but all those that dance great can't sing for shit live, they sound amazing in-studio thanks to the high paid producers. I know I'm gonna get a lot of shit for this but whatever. Not gonna lie though Shakira is hot but just not hot enough to pay 100$ or something to see her lip-sync half of the set or the whole set like other pop acts do. |

Oh no, this is the first time she lip-syncs, when I saw her live she didn't lip-sync at all. The lip sync is kinda a shock to the fans, but I find it okay that she is doing that for this song, it is really hard to sing. Especially the how fast the beginning is. The chorus is easy to sing but everything else is hard. The thing is that I thing she should of put more effort into the chorus part, which is the easiest that's the only negative of this performance but everything else is great. And remember this is the second time she performs the song. Also if you want to see what a great performer Shakira is check this out:

I just can't wait to have the actual album in my hand, and I can't wait until she starts touring so I can see her again.

So, I actually heard it in full for the first time, and underwhelming "ah-woo" aside, it could be just about any modern pop song, complete with 80s twang guitar, brass stabs, and mandatory brief string section at the end... It's well produced for sure, just, generic. |
