Mariko gives a tiny snort of laughter when vara doesnt kiss her. It could have been mistaken as a hiccup. Which would be believable as She was very drunk. She wasn't going to go for it either. Mariko widens her eyes and runs a sad hand down her face when reality hits her. "Vara...i can't cook and you can't cook..we're going to starve." She laughs lightly while seriously considering their situation. Hopefully Erich hadn't been on a healthy kick and stocked all real food in the kitchen. Mariko holds on to the railing bolted to the wall and turns to the left. The hall is dark red with green wainscoting. The floor is worn red carpet. Mariko goes on and points dramatically to an unremarkable corner populated by a decrepit coke machine. " no flash photography,please." Mariko takes them to another set of double doors and carefully opens them. The gym is a sprawling area. Once beautiful with mirrored walls and wooden floors. Broken port holes have let in enough sea air that the floors are warped and sun bleached. " you wanna get in a couple reps? Ill spot you." Mariko offers.

Mariko considers while looking slightly up. The phrase makes her think that maybe dinosaurs will evolve and help them cook. "Im sure you'll do fine. I'm the captain,remember? I have sooo many duties." She replies,pretending her shoulders are heavy from having such responsibility on them. She grins at vara and winks. She knows what vara means and if need be,maybe she could whip something up. While she is probably playing around,Mariko takes vara's offer seriously. She looks at vara and pats her tummy lightly. " oh yes. All that pasta...and what's that i feel? Is that an entire cake?!" She says sarcastically. "Right. On the mat you go." Mariko points to a surprisingly well maintained yoga mat. It was most likely Gretchen's. " now i want to see real sit ups. I won't count half ass ones." She teases

mariko always did love hearing vara's laugh. the particular tone of this one brought back many pleasant memories for mariko and she briefly lost herself in thought. coming back to the moment,she feels vara's stomach some more and nods as she moves her hands clinically over the woman. "hmm..yep.i feel that kid right around your belly button. feels like..a pete...no,a fernando. he was an orphan,nobody will miss him." she assess with a smirk up to vara. in vara's absence mariko had gotten in very good shape. she wasnt about to let anyone get the better of her again,after the incident with adam black and later with tyron. she wanted to be able to scrap if need be. when vara lies down,mariko kneels on her feet and places her hands on vara's knees. mariko was very drunk but still well aware of the entirety of vara's legs now being exposed. still,she politely averted her eyes to vara's face. "you're drunk,vara. i dont think you can even do one." she teases,scrunching her face up and sticking out her tongue. " cmon,gallo! go all the way! feel the burn! you're an animal!" she cries out like any tv coach.

"oh my god! that was awful!" mariko cackles,shaking her head from side to side. " i am NOT counting that one!" she scolds,wagging her finger at vara. she coudlnt bring herself to lie to vara about the sit up,it barely could even be called a sit up. mariko nearly had to grab vara and pull her up. around mariko vara was something most people wouldn't call her. she was adorable. mariko felt the time was right to make her move. her hands move from the top of vara's knees to the inside of them before gently forcing them apart so she could lay on top vara. "i'm not above using what i got to get that A in PE." she grins and kisses vara gently. its a kiss but very open to allow vara to reject it. yes,the dusty gym floor of the duke was the right spot for mariko and vara's first post break up kiss.

Mariko was slightly surprised when vara returned her kiss,and with a fantastic interest rate. It was almost a sure thing,but there was that small chance that too much had happened. But the pair were seemingly going to be forever linked. She looked slightly at the hand on her face and leaned into it. "After school?! Wait a minute, im just trying to pass. I don't want to join the national honors society." She plaufully scoffs and rolls off vara to pay down beside. " im drunk enough to be competitive so I'm going some sit ups." She declares with a determined nod.

"You're the one professor that believes in me and im the naive,but adventurous young up and comer?" Mariko laughs after describing the plot to a bargain basement porno. Mariko scoots around to position herself best for the sit up. Vara could out do her in lots of things,but this she totally had. Sadly,her clothes allowed no such glimpses of flesh as she quickly sat up with a grunt. She feels gravity starting to tug her back towards the ground,so she throws her arms around vara with a squeal. "That was the most inspiring phrase i have ever heard. I nearly squeezed the liquor right out of me." She says with the amazed and honest tone that only comes with being very drunk.

Mariko cracks up at vara and grins. " you're the person that writes all those motivational posters,aren't you? Because I don't think I've ever been this motivated in my life." Mariko savored being in vara's arms before attempting to stand once more. She now linked hands with vara and proudly declared," you are right.i cannot be kept down. There is sooo Much more ship to see! If you follow me we can relive high school trauma in the gym's communal showers." She offers. Mariko still wasn't sure if it was right to "reconcile" here. " maybe you are out of shape,oldie hawn." Mariko teases vara at the sounds she makes while getting up. Mariko's hand slightly squeezes vara's hand harder when it's clear they had very different school experiences. " i guess we know how this is ending. She already had a pretty good idea of what she thought vara was like when young,and vara just confirmed it. Mariko opens the shower doors and flips the switches. The hum of florescent lights flickering on is heard and the pale white tiled room is illuminated..dimly. The flickering lights only add to the horror movie effect. The room looks like a huge version of the room in the first saw. " umm..move out to the deck and just be exhibitionists?" She laughs,slamming the door shut.

Mariko briefly considers joking with vara about her physique more but refrains. It could border on mean and she didn't want to project that. "You still look just as beautiful as ever." Mariko says softly. She was conflicted at just how much interest she should show to vara. There was a limit to just how much Mariko was willing to give of herself now. She found jokes far easier to handle. So She makes a face when vara mentioned plugging. " ew. No thank you. Tried recently. Not a fan." She smirks,looking over at vara. Vara had clocked her as being not bi years ago and was right. Mariko lead them through hallways before coming to a door to the exterior of the ship. It was oval and very rusty. She released vara's hand and opened the protesting door. She had to use her shoulder to get it open. The door opened to a rather small balcony area. It was populated by some deck chairs and faded Formica tables. The sky was clear and the breeze was cool. " this used to be a life boat alcove." She explains before signing. " i guess you can throw tampons at me while i dance on the table..or i can show you the dispensary. All soets of fun stuff there." She giggles at vara with a knowing wink.
