Single review: it seems yearly that atomic war bride remembers they have an octouple album in the works and release a song or two. if that is to stave off lawsuits of fraud from the members of atomic war bride single of the month club remains to be seen. this latest release is actually two songs! a rare achievement from the sole act carrying the banner of psychobilly today. if you are a member of the atomic war bride single of the month club,you will have your physical copy by the time this review is printed. the physical copy is pressed on clear green vinyl while the sleeves are lithographs suitable for framing and come with a certificate of authenticity from the franklin mint...for an unrelated and seemingly unincluded item. Shorty Bulwark is a rollicking western flavored song...jingle might be a more accurate description. erich hess sings like a sam elliot after gargling whisky soaked nails. karoliena summers does what she's been doing best for over a decade at this point: wrangle things into a catchy package. and shorty bulwark has her at her infectious best. this stupid ass song gets stuck in your head long after you've moved on to something else. Creapy Dave's Discount Coffins slowed down from typical war bride fare. this song is surprisingly atmospheric given that this band doesnt usually do subtle. erich's goth crooner voice is rarely highlighted like this. he usually seems to sing so fast that you just assume someone is dangling an 8 ball off stage. Creapy dave's will probably be a hidden gem of the atomic war bride catalog never to be played live. overall: 5/10. its atomic war bride. they dont take themselves seriously and it shows....and seems to work. this one trick pony keeps trotting along.

I've never said this,but I hate Jerry lewis. there I was doing blow with Morgan Fairchild. I mean,who wouldn't do blow with Morgan Fairchild if given the chance?! So we're cozy in the back of a Plymouth horizon and getting ready to snort. And wouldn't you know it,up comes Jerry fucking lewis! Jerry Lewis doing his bits from the mid sixties... It was the eighties!! He starts flailing his arms around and doing the nutty professor bit. Asshole knocks over the mirror and coke goes everywhere. I get out of the car and am going to stomp a mud hole in this guy's ASS! Jerry god damned Lewis drops me with one punch. I fall back into the car (trying to snort the coke from the carpet. Waste not,want not.) knowing that Morgan saw all of this and wouldn't want to fuck me. And Morgan Fairchild never did fuck me. Not that afternoon. Not ever. God damned Jerry Lewis. sounds a bit like a rockabilly erich sez: see? more music! this project is occasionally still being worked on. i have shit to do. where else are you going to get psychobilly goodness these days? the rocking doesnt exist cats? we at atomic war bride have you by the short hairs in this regard. i figured with...gestures we may as well make whatever marks we can in the world while it lasts. so here's a story ripped from the headlines of my life.prove it didnt happen. oh my birth certificate says i'm too young to have done this? i have more than one stage name. hell,i am the six degrees of kevin bacon champ! i have zero degrees...for i AM Kevin bacon! so yeah. i think this is atomic war bride's most important work yet.
