I'm backing Holland for the world cup this year, I'm definitely not backing Argentina and Germany for obvious reasons. |

You'd think Brazil would have run out of good players by now, but no they keep developing legend after legend. |

Robinho, Kaka, Luis Fabiano, Lucio, Maicon, Michel Bastos, Julio Cesar. |

Kaka,Maicon, and Ceasar are amazing especially Kaka who should have never been red carded. Assuming everything goes according to plan Brazil will beat the Dutch (they played teams pretty equal in strength and Brazil had a higher score) they'll play Argentina in the finals and it will be the best WC match in a long time. |

Spain, Brazil, Germany and Uruguay will be semi-finalists. I see a Brazil - Germany final, but please, dont make it as boring as in 2002. That being said, it would be great if Ghana and Holland made it to semi-finals. Fuck Argentina. The Paraguay - Japan match winner is doomed to stay on quarterfinals. |

If they do I'll be really happy. |

The final will be Spain v Brazil, with Spain just edging it in the final. I watch a hell of a lot of Spanish football, and the Spanish players have just got an extra gear that means they will have too much for anyone. They havent shown it yet, but it's there, and if Del Bosque has the balls to drop Torres and replace with Pedro, they will absolutely dominate |

If they do I think they'd be playing Argentina in the Semis so that match would be epic as well. If Argentina stops Villa they've got it in the bag. Even Casillas can't hold off Messi,Tevez, and Higuain. |

The Villa argument is the reason he should play Pedro, the pace means they cant afford to just watch Villa, and they would be ripped to shreds, Demichellis, Gutierrez et al cannot cope with pace like that and balls in behind the defence. |

Very true, Demichelis is probably Argentina's best defender, he could handle Villa, but with two major scorers coming for him he'd crack. I think once the cup qualifiers start again they'll start working on defense, their Olympic team had OK defense maybe they'll get some of those guys. |

Man imagine if a soccer team had Uruguay's defense men,Argentina's forwards, Spain's midfield, and I don't know for the goalie but probably one of the African ones. |

Buffon and Messi both do a lot better on the club level. Messi however is still amazing just instead of scoring he makes wicked assists. |

Also I think in the final group game against Slovakia, Buffon was the most passionate for Italy, he was on the edge of the technical area more than the manager. |
