Michelle Green - Live To TellChaos Records is pleased to announce and welcome the return to full time music of everyone's favourite sweetheart Michelle Green. Babyfaced Green, who has been on something of an unannounced hiatus as she dealt with health problems, is due to return to the scene with her new album, Live to Tell, in late October/early November. The teen sensation has been working closely with superstar production duo Buzz & Hype, famous for their work with the likes of Foxxxy, Vanity and Nadia Berry, to try to introduce a more mature, grown up and modern R&B and dance sound that is a world apart from the sugary sweet pop songs we have come to expect from her earlier releases. Live to tell addresses the health problems that have befallen Michelle Green since last year, with the singer bravely tackling the theme of cancer, a disease which cruelly took over her life at the age of just 17. She sings about how the disease has affected her life, as well as her ability to fight it and prove to herself just how strong she is inside. It is expected that the new songs, which include the likes of [Salt, Every Second I Breathe and Live to Tell will also potentially feature a peppering of special guests, including a rapper, as Michelle looks to explore a variety of different song types that were never before in her repertoire. With just over a month to go until its release, expectations are expected to be high among fans, as Michelle ditches her girl next door look in favour of a sexier and edgier image; it's certainly one not to be missed.- Scott RH (Owner and Chairman) Chaos dominates the charts yet againThe last few months have been somewhat of a struggle as a record boss, what with a new label coming in at the level of worldwide global firm rather than starting at the bottom like everyone else. The introduction of North Hill Records was predicted to see it sidle its way in between Studio 60 and Chaos, knocking us down into third place in the market. However, our glorious roster of artists has really pulled it out over the past few weeks, leading to something of a period of dominance for Chaos artists in the charts and showing that we are not ready to go down without a fight. At the current moment, everyone's favourite merry band of teenagers Weekend are still flying the Chaos flag strongly from their lofty position atop the Airplay and Digital charts; their dominance in the former has seen them sit atop the Airplay chart for a full three weeks in a row. This marks five whole weeks since any other label could knock us off as Lily, a Chaos favourite, also spent a two week period on top of the charts before being derailed by Lock it Up. As well as Chaos sitting at the summit with Weekend though, big congrats also go to young acoustic star Jacob Estrada, whose latest release Don't Miss Out with Isabel has earned him second place, his highest charting to date. Also in the top 10 are Cinzia Ricci and Lily, shwing the real strength in depth that Chaos records is displaying at the moment. Well done all.- Neil P Stinson (CEO) |
