Michelle Green - Live To Tell

UserPostedImage

Chaos Records is pleased to announce and welcome the return to full time music of everyone's favourite sweetheart Michelle Green. Babyfaced Green, who has been on something of an unannounced hiatus as she dealt with health problems, is due to return to the scene with her new album, Live to Tell, in late October/early November.
The teen sensation has been working closely with superstar production duo Buzz & Hype, famous for their work with the likes of Foxxxy, Vanity and Nadia Berry, to try to introduce a more mature, grown up and modern R&B and dance sound that is a world apart from the sugary sweet pop songs we have come to expect from her earlier releases.
Live to tell addresses the health problems that have befallen Michelle Green since last year, with the singer bravely tackling the theme of cancer, a disease which cruelly took over her life at the age of just 17. She sings about how the disease has affected her life, as well as her ability to fight it and prove to herself just how strong she is inside.
It is expected that the new songs, which include the likes of [Salt, Every Second I Breathe and Live to Tell will also potentially feature a peppering of special guests, including a rapper, as Michelle looks to explore a variety of different song types that were never before in her repertoire.
With just over a month to go until its release, expectations are expected to be high among fans, as Michelle ditches her girl next door look in favour of a sexier and edgier image; it's certainly one not to be missed.

Chaos dominates the charts yet again

The last few months have been somewhat of a struggle as a record boss, what with a new label coming in at the level of worldwide global firm rather than starting at the bottom like everyone else. The introduction of North Hill Records was predicted to see it sidle its way in between Studio 60 and Chaos, knocking us down into third place in the market.
However, our glorious roster of artists has really pulled it out over the past few weeks, leading to something of a period of dominance for Chaos artists in the charts and showing that we are not ready to go down without a fight.
At the current moment, everyone's favourite merry band of teenagers Weekend are still flying the Chaos flag strongly from their lofty position atop the Airplay and Digital charts; their dominance in the former has seen them sit atop the Airplay chart for a full three weeks in a row. This marks five whole weeks since any other label could knock us off as Lily, a Chaos favourite, also spent a two week period on top of the charts before being derailed by Lock it Up.
As well as Chaos sitting at the summit with Weekend though, big congrats also go to young acoustic star Jacob Estrada, whose latest release Don't Miss Out with Isabel has earned him second place, his highest charting to date. Also in the top 10 are Cinzia Ricci and Lily, shwing the real strength in depth that Chaos records is displaying at the moment.
Well done all.

Chaos signs two new metal bands

UserPostedImage

Chaos Records is extremely pleased to welcome to metal behemoth that is German band Mannheim! Despite not being on the scene very long, Mannheim impressed bosses at Chaos Records, and have been signed on a once in a lifetime TEN ALBUM DEAL! Wow! We can't wait to see what this bunch of crazy crazy guys can pull out over the next few years. Whatever it is, we are sure it will be beyond epic and very very brutal.

UserPostedImage

In our second announcement of the night, Chaos is also delighted....so so delighted, to welcome new metal superstars from Canada, Party Hat. The band have been together for around a year, and play a brand of metal that is both brutal and hilariously funny. Their live shows are notoriously energetic, and make use of water guns among other implements. Party Hat have signed on a rolling one album deal. We hope to see big things from these promising Canadians.

Chaos Records welcomes Vile Hour

UserPostedImage

Those of you with a nose for all things celeb may already be more than aware of lead girl/fantastic eccentric Nichole Shade following her awesome and infinitely entertaining stint as a contestant, and eventual finalist on Big Brother, where she...literally bared all on more than one occasion and managed to fit many other fantastic moments in along the way. However, do you know her band? If not, then why the hell not? Get yourself plugged into Nichole and her drummer Castor Drake as they embark on a wonderful and eventful journey through angst, beauty and true art with their duet, VILE HOUR. The American duo are ready to release their debut cabaret punk/instrumental album in Common Technicalities, a brilliant and winding musical path that Castor and Nichole hold your hand all the way along. And we are more than delighted to announce that the release of Common Technicalities will take place via Chaos Records!

It is my privelege as owner of this company to welcome Vile Hour to our wonderful family as they sign on the dotted line with the greatest label in the world. The duo have left their mark on a four-album deal here at Chaos, and we are insanely delighted to welcome them on board. Here's to the future and many happy years of working together Ms Shade and Mr Drake. Welcome aboard.

Chaos Records welcomes Suzie Stockholm

UserPostedImage

As record label executives, owners, professionals, whatever, it's not often that you get given the chance to sign a genuinely massive star of the industry, so when you do, it's important to grab it with both hands. I was approached this week by a very determined and focussed Suzie who came to me with a proposal for the future of her career and an all new attitude. I was impressed, very impressed by the noises she was making about her music and her desire to be a true winner. I couldn't turn that down, and I signed Suzie up straight away.

I think we have a fantastic star on our hands here, and someone who will continue to be at the top of her game for many years to come. I look forward to working with Suzie and having a great partnership between pop's top princess and the best label in the industry. I think we'll all look back to today as one of the monumental moments in the career of everyone involved. Mark my words, Suzie Stockholm and Chaos Records are going to dominate. I promise.

Sometimes new guys will come along in the world of music that you know very little about, and have nothing to go on but gut instinct and first impressions. This is one of those occasions. Mike Bear is all new to the industry, but he came to us with a proposal following his rather intriguing interview with WhoIs.com. Make no mistake, this guy might have little in the way of experience, but what he is missing out on in that department, hemore than makes up for in desire, talent and a will to hit the top.

I've taken a chance on Mike, but I think it will be one that will pay off. Watch this guy give a genre of music that is struggling an all new lease of life, and I promise not to say I told you so.

Chaos takes Aimee Rose to court in 'open and shut case'

Chaos Records to sue Aimee Rose for $1 million for breach of contract. The label gave Ms Rose a $1 million signing on fee out of good grace, which she gladly took and spent before she then opted to release nothing for months and then breach her contract to sign elsewhere. North Hill Records shall not be subject to any legal action as a result of this litigation, which targets only the singer. Chaos Records would like it to be known that the label has no ill-feeling towards North Hill, who have done nothing more than sign an artist. However, it is not in our best interests to make someone a millionaire only to see them then decide to leave without paying us back for the contract and funding she was given with the agreement that she fulfill a three-album deal. Therefore, the seven-figure sum shall be retrieved from Ms Rose in court.

Chaos Records welcomes rap sensation Atlas on two album deal!

UserPostedImage

Chaos Records is pleased to welcome new rap sensation Atlas to the family on a two album deal that will see the youngster given his chance to shine and show the world what he can do. Atlas recently received critical acclaim when he revealed an array of raps on his website, with the underground hip hop scene taking to his unorthodox style and his quick-witted rhymes. Since, the newcomer has been honing his skills, writing some music for a debut release and narrowly lost out this weekend in the Rap Olympiad to veteran rapper Isaac Lovelock. Atlas gave a wonderful account of himself in the competition, winning a great many fans along the way and running his more experienced opponent very close. He was unlucky not to pick up the win. Moving forward, Atlas is set to capitalise on the two year deal from Chaos Records by releasing his debut EP in the very near future, something that everyone in the hip hop community will now be eagerly awaiting after the glittering start to his career.

Chaos Records new owner Neil P Stinson said of the deal: "I've been working at this label for a long long time, obviously, so I know how everything worked, but I thought it was important that when it came to my first signing after taking over, that I made a statement and showed my intent for the future, and I think I've done that with this signing. Atlas is a fantastic young artist who made an impact, and that's what we need. Chaos wants artists who don't just amble on through their career. We want people who make statements and make people sit up and take notice, and that's definitely what Atlas will do for us. He bring an honesty and a feeling to his raps, and he really delivers something that is different to what we hear in the mainstream at the moment. The guy is definitely destined for massive things. I'm sure of it.

"I'm delighted to have the guy signed up here, and very excited to see what he will do for the label. It's an exciting time to be a part of Chaos Records, for everyone, and it is an honour to be able to welcome someone to the family. I'm sure ourselves and Atlas will have a wonderful working relationship moving forward."
