Josh nods as he walks alongside her, picking up a few boxes and looking at them, wondering what the hell they actually were. He tried to mask his confusion though, at one point flashing a smile at Jade when he was convinced she had seen him looking perplexed.

"You been to LA?" He said excitedly, a quite goofy smile spreading across his face. "That's my hometown! Small world huh? Were you there on vacation?" He looks interested.

Josh laughs a little, realising he's probably going to sound like he's bragging and trying to talk up his own career.

"I am yeah. I was working with that girl...ummm, Katie Coyle, on her new album. Seems weird to say that out loud." He laughed weakly.

Josh smiled as she spoke. He was growing quite fond of her accent, and he was a bit more relaxed now.

"Oh, I see. Sounds nice. Yeah LA is a great place, but it doesn't have the culture of London. I love all your old buildings...the phone boxes...the buses...the cabs, just everything!"

He laughs a little.

"She is a star...she certainly is. But I don't know. She did most of the production herself. I was there mostly to bounce ideas off. But enough about me. What do you do?"

He smiles.

Josh looks impressed at Jade's admission that she's in a band.

"Wow, are you guys any good then?" He smiles at her, brushing his air back behind his ears.

"Hey...at least if you're in a band I could give you my number...and not seem like some sort of desperate loser trying to get with the pretty girl..."

He chuckled a little, but in his mind he was only half kidding.

Josh chuckles as he notices Jade is also becoming less nervous around him. He shakes his head at her comment.

"I'm quite sure you don't suck. Do you have a name? I mean not you...I know you have a name..I meant like your band. Obviously it has a name, but I meant like...what is it." He laughed a little, scratching his head. "Turns out I'm a little more nervous than I thought I was," he chuckles.

Josh laughs at how nervous Jade looks. When she blushed, he thought how cute she looked, smiling at her again. "Cereal seems like a really nice topic...hopefully we have more to talk about than just that though."

Taking a piece of paper and a pen from his pocket, Josh scrawled his name and number on it. All the time, he wondered if she would even call, but he popped the pen back on the lid, handing her the piece of paper.

"There you are. One phone number, as ordered!" He smiled, keeping eye contact with her for a few seconds.

Josh stood behind Jade in the queue to reach the register, still listening intently to her. He had lost track of time since he had first bumped into her, but it felt like they had been chatting for hours, and he was amazed that he had met someone so pretty and funny, and most importantly, someone who was actually just a down to earth ordinary girl. He smiled.

"Pretty Little Freaks, huh? You might think I'm lying but I have heard that name." he nods. "Didn't you guys get on a major label or something? I'll have to check you out." he laughs a little at her joke. "Well to be fair, there are so many cereals to talk about. I'm sure we could fill some weeks talking about that. But seriously, I'm sure there is a lot to talk about."

As their eyes met again, his instincts told him to look away through nervous habit, but he couldn't. For that moment he just stared into her eyes, feeling a connection. Just then, as he realised she was about to leave, he felt a moment of bravery wash over him. He looked at his watch.

"Uh, Jade? You know...it's early still...I was thinking..sounds dumb I know, so you can tell me just to shut up or whatever...but how would you feel if I asked you on like...a date?"

Josh smiled as he was impressed by their label.

"Wow...that's a big deal" he said, giving a little round of applause. "Go Jade, huh?" he laughed.

Josh smiled over at her.

"Well yeah, I mean I don't see why not? We seem to be getting on okay, it's a beautiful day, and we wouldn't want to waste it." He tried to stop from grinning, struggling to believe this pretty girl would even dream of dating him.

Josh laughed at her comment and looked down at his bags as well.

"Ha...well maybe we should find somewhere to throw these first?"

He chuckled.

Smiling over at her again, Josh felt quite happy. He had been burned a few times in the past by women, it was probably why he had been quite so nervous around Jade at first when they had started talking. However, he already felt quite confident around her, even though they had only been talking for a little while. He nodded at her suggestion.

"Sure," he started. "Then maybe we could go to the park or something? Maybe take a ride on one of those pedal boats? I always thought that looked fun. Plus, I'm quite a romantic at heart."

He chuckled again, brushing his hair back behind his ear and trying not to stare.

Josh felt a little nervous to be taking Jade out. She was gorgeous, and he was afraid he would screw the whole thing up. Trying to not show it, he smiled at Jade and walked alongside her, his bag of groceries swinging in the hand furthest from Jade.

"Yeah, it should be great fun," he said, "hey...as long as you dont make me do all the work!" He laughed.

He nodded as she spoke. "Another romantic huh? In what way?"

Josh chuckles and smiles. "Well alrighty then. I'm glad to hear it. Nothing worse than someone who won't join in with the pedalling!" He laughs and looks over at her, catching her eye and.holding.her gaze for a few seconds. After a few seconds he snaps back to his senses. "Ah yeah that all sounds nice. I never watched a lot of romance film, but I am a dreamer. I have this idealistic notion of the perfect love. Unfortuntely my previous efforts have been far from perfect."

He chuckles and shakes his head a little.
