SOUND "Beautifully Broken" sounds like the typical title for a dreary ballad, but in Nadia's case, she turns it into an uptempo pop-rock tune. With building synths and powerful electric guitar riffs throughout, it may just be one of the most infectious tracks on the album. After the second chorus, the loud and in-your-face nature of the song dies down with a soft acoustic guitar ending for the outro, Nadia softly singing from "You placed your hand on my heart / And told me to keep on going", ending just when you expect another chorus to come along. With its bittersweet lyrics that tell the tale of a chaotic love story with drugs and one another, "Beautifully Broken" definitely leaves a lasting impression as the relationship comes to a sad ending. COMMENTS "I've been waiting forever and a day to finally comment on this track! It's my favourite on the entire record, and maybe even my favourite song I've ever been a part of. On top of that, it was the very last song I did for the album, so that's given me a lot of drive in future to always keep writing, no matter if you think you've finished with an album, because those hidden gems always come up right when you least expect them. My life isn't as chaotic as this, I promise this isn't about me! Hahah. It's more of a story I made up in my head, two vulnerable lovers who aren't really sure if they love each other as much as the drugs they're taking, and then soon the emotions really get put to the test for one of them as the other passes away due to their lifestyle choices. The person realises that it wasn't the drugs and the messy lifestyle that changed their life and gave them happiness, it was the other person. Aww..." SOUND Beginning with faint studio conversation with Nadia and her producers, the talk is quiet and barely audible to understand what's happening. From what is heard, the listener can just about make out the sound of Nadia's producers comforting her as she tells them she's fine, a few very quiet sniffles heard, before the song opens with a hard-hitting, almost hip-hop style beat, similar to something you'd hear in a marching band, but fairly slower. Nadia's vocals remain simple, yet effective throughout, sounding fairly quiet and cold, in contrast with the beat. At the end, the studio conversations return, more audible this time, Nadia says "That's a wrap", before laughing as the song fades. COMMENTS "Closing off the album is 'In the Pouring Rain', probably the most emotional and heart-wrenching song I put on this record, for the sole fact that I recorded it when I was still upset over a fairly recent situation, it's luckily all in the past now, but at the time, it was such a hard song to record. I like to pretend that I cope better than I really do, but in all honesty, it took me a dozen times to finally control myself and be able to sing the lyrics, because I was just all over the place at the time. I didn't want to end the album on a really sad note though, I wanted to show that despite all the problems of mine that you hear on the album, the little ending of "That's a wrap" and the laugh says that not only is the album finished (If you've got the standard edition of the album!), but also that I'm finished with all the drama in the past and I'm ready to finally move on from it all." Just the thought of it leaves me broken Knowing the time it went unspoken I'm lost inside a fragile mind With nothing left but ashes behind Tainted lies in a truth untold Never a future to behold Alone in my skin, but she was miss everything There was me thinking I never miss a thing Any love you declared was given in a kiss Was it ever me that you really missed? Beautiful vocals, beautiful music, beautiful lyrics, beautiful woman. This album is beautifully depressing with moments of sunlight bathe in between there. I generally love this record, and I am not just saying that because I'm plowing the artist who made it. :)

The scene cuts to Nadia in bed without anything on, however, only her back is seen as the duvet covers everything else, the camera zooms in slowly from behind, and it's revealed she is on top of Ryan Ross Hernandez, we see a front view, but Nadia's breasts are covered by his hands, as she breathes heavily. She leans in closer and bites his lip softly, as they kiss passionately, she then pulls away and smiles. A fast forward icon appears at the bottom left of the screen, and the camera moves away from them and back out of the room where it's still raining. Returning back to its normal speed, the opening of the song begins, a shot of a clock is seen at the time of 8:45am, we then see Ryan leaning over Nadia in bed as the pair of them are seen kissing. Nadia's head turns and sees the time, her and Ryan seem fairly unfazed by the time, but they still manage to pull themselves away from each other to try and get ready for work, playing a working class couple with a nine to five job. Moments later, Ryan's in a suit and Nadia in a shirt and pencil skirt. Ryan soon moves in from behind Nadia, his hands around her waist, he turns her around slowly and unbuttons her shirt, she laughs, trying to stop him at first, before giving in and doing the same to him. "Rain pouring down outside, we've got the curtains drawn Might be late for work, but my mind's only set on you Quater to nine, we've been at it since the break of dawn Might not even leave the house, we've got something else to do Clothes on for work, only for us to take them off once more So let me loosen your tie, unbutton your shirt We've lost a lot of time that we've gotta make up for Taking off my heels, loosen up my skirt Only thing left to do is to lock the door Every piece of clothing I slide on, you slide me back out of it Looks like neither one of us are leaving the house today This ain't the first time this has happened I can gurantee you I'll be fired tomorrow Somehow, I couldn't care less about everything else Because nothing compares, no nothing compares To a morning with you" As the first chorus hits, Nadia pushes Ryan back down onto the bed, the bedside clock is seen in the distance, already past nine o'clock. The two of them begin to remove their work clothes from each other in a rush, Nadia rips his shirt off of him as it gets thrown to the floor, the same happens to Nadia's shirt, and Ryan forcefully pulls her skirt off. Once the chorus ends, the song pauses and quick flashes appear on screen of them simulating sex, soft moans heard at the same time, before the song proceeds into its second verse. Similar shots to the start of the video are seen, the alarm goes off and Nadia wakes up to turn it off, we assume it's the following day. She turns around to see Ryan awake and smiles, he pulls her on top of him as she laughs whilst looking into his eyes, running her fingers through his hair. The next shot shows their clothes and underwear on the floor, nothing else is seen, but it's not hard to put two and two together on what has happened, it's a repeat of what happened on the previous day, they've both decided to have another day off from work. "Feels like we've just set ourselves back into rewind Cause I could've sworn we did this last night Looks like we're still stuck on the day behind And I can't even face the morning light Gliding my fingers through your morning hair There's only one thing that we're putting the effort into We haven't even gotta worry about what to wear You're the only boss who I've gotta get to And I'm leaving all the rest up to you" For the second chorus, Nadia and Ryan are back in their work clothes, it's yet another morning. Ryan playfully pushes her into the shower and turns the water on, she looks shocked at first, and then pulls him in with her. They soon strip each other down once again as Nadia gets lifted against a wall inside the shower, Ryan supporting her as they kiss intensely, her nails digging into his back. The hot water soon steams up the rest of the glass and they are no longer visible. "And it's just one of those days Where all I wanna do is get some more of your loving And I just wanna disappear into nothing Just so I can get lost in you And it's just one of those days Where all I wanna do is cling to you and breathe you in My lips meeting your skin Turning into our sweetest sin And it's just one of those days" In the next scene for the middle-eight, they are seen by a classic, old fashioned fireplace in the living room, lying naked on a large, furry rug. Beads of sweat are seen on them both, Nadia on top of Ryan as he caresses her, again, nothing is on show. "Cold outside, we've got the fire burning In your arms, you've got me yearning Grip me tighter and the world falls away With you is a place I wanna stay And it's just one of those days..." For the final chorus, Nadia and Ryan are fully clothed, Nadia looks through the pile of mail and opens an envelope, handing Ryan one as well. The camera shows a close-up of the two letters, informing them that they have been fired from their jobs. Nadia grabs his letter and rips it up with hers, Ryan stands and pulls her in close to him, as she throws the ripped up pieces into the air, the video ends in a slow motion shot of them kissing with the pieces of the letters falling around them. "One of Those Days" / OUT NOW

Wow. That was one sexy fucking video. And I'm not just saying that because I'm in it and it was me who had his hands all over the hottest woman in music. Any red-bloodied human being would agree that this is what artistic sexiness is. The FDA, religious groups, parental groups. Fuck off. It's not like sex doesn't exist. Give kids a computer and they can find much worse than this.

Raven, that's a huge compliment, thank you very much. Never did I think I'd one day be making people question their sexuality, but how can that ever be a bad thing? Hahaha, Mandy! At least I can say I warned people. ;)
